== Thanks for the fix ==

Can't see too much difference on my monitor, apart from the link, but I'm sure it's an improvement. :) Best, ] (]) 03:20, 3 December 2011 (UTC)

: You're not seeing the trivial bits because ]s have poor contrast (an accessibility issue for most-all people). Enabling the ] gadget in your user prefs would help you read diffs better.

: would let you smack such detritus with a click. ] (]) 03:30, 3 December 2011 (UTC)

::I'm a little bit slow when it comes to this type of thing, if you hadn't already guessed. Not really too good with codes and such, but I'll look into this and see if I can make it work. I trust I can come to you with any questions? ] (]) 03:33, 3 December 2011 (UTC)

::: Ya, I saw 'monobook' in use; how many years old is that? I'm a software developer familiar with MediaWiki installations. <joke>DYK that '1' bits generate more heat than '0' bits? This is why it is important to use space characters between words (space characters have seven '0' bits and only one '1' bit). This helps keep sentences from overheating.</joke> I'll answer most polite inquiries ;> Select-and-copy the importScript line and click the redlink; paste and save; refresh. Works with monobook, too. ] (]) 03:50, 3 December 2011 (UTC)

::::Done. Does it just automatically fix things, or does it just change the appearance? That's how little I know about these things. The monobook thing is pretty damn old - and I don't remember why it is there or what I was trying to do (doubt I even understood it at the time) - probably something to do with Twinkle, if I were to hazard a guess. ] (]) 12:37, 3 December 2011 (UTC)

::::: Advisor? It offers links to 'fix' things, or at least advice. Give some of that to your friend talking of guns. He should be removed from the project for that. And see ]. Happy reading. ] (]) 12:41, 3 December 2011 (UTC)

::::::Thanks - I'll check it out. Ceoil's just being Ceoil. I think I can guess what you'll say about joking about guns, but I'd hardly construe it as a genuine threat. The most I'll say is that you both deal with frustration in very different ways, and even that sounds a bit more condescending and school-marmish than I'd like (which is not my intent). But anyway... thanks for the script. I'm still digesting your other comment - you took some time to write it out and it deserves a thoughtful reply. ] (]) 13:03, 3 December 2011 (UTC)

Since you're a developer I have some questions if you don't mind. First, I don't have a complete toolbar on my edit window. Any clue what could cause that? Second, I've installed the assistant script, refreshed, cleared cache, restarted and it's still not working. Do we know whether it's supported on Safari? Third, regarding the citation templates: see where I had Harv templates. Another editor came in and removed them all, long story, not going into it. The page needs a lot of work and it's next on my list, but I've always had trouble loading it, for instance can't run the dashes script without hanging. Why? Fourth, I understand the argument for the Harv templates; used them for a long time, and in my view there's a compelling reason to use them. On the other hand, after trying a few pages without, I have counterarguments that I think are equally compelling. Finally, why can't we get the columns to render in IE? That would go a long way to bringing references closer to the sources in these sort of humanity pages in my view. I'm happy to engage in a constructive manner. ] (]) 14:58, 3 December 2011 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome to Misplaced Pages. Everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Misplaced Pages, but at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Titania, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted (undone) by ClueBot NG.

That wasn't vandalism. I'm putting it back. Alarbus (talk) 09:44, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
