"Somebody Saved Me"
Song

"Somebody Saved Me" is a song written and composed by Pete Townshend, the guitarist for The Who. The song is on his third solo album All the Best Cowboys Have Chinese Eyes (1982), and also on The Who's 1981 album Face Dances remaster as a bonus track in 1997.

Strange lyrical meaning

The lyrics seemed to say that Pete Townshend was "saved" a "few times" by "not" having sexual intercourse with a series of women.

Omited from Face Dances

The Who omitted "Somebody Saved Me" from Face Dances, their first album with Kenney Jones. The song did not seem to fit the style of the band.
