{unblock} "Your user name or IP address has been blocked from editing. You were blocked by Royboycrashfan for the following reason (see our blocking policy): stuffing the ballot box in AFD discussions Your IP address is 130.216.191.84."

IP 130.216.191.84 = The University of Auckland, accessible by 30,000 students and several thousand staff) has been blocked by USER:Royboycrashfan, who does not have an email to contact. Not for the first time a heavy handed and ineffectual administrator attack on IP addresses is misdirected. As a response to vandalism and abuse blocking IP addresses used by thousands of people seems from my perspective to create far more trouble than the problem and in the case of vandalism, causing administrators to block others is almost certainly one of the aims of the vandal - in my gloomy outlook, this sort of blocking is really another form of vandalism, just practised by administrators. Please remove the block and if possible 1. ensure blockers are contactable by email and 2. if at all possible put some note against the IP address for administrators to engage brain before blocking. For all future problems with this IP address could I strongly suggest the appropriate response is to block anonymous users only.

The IP in question is already unblocked at this point. Mangojuice 17:53, 27 July 2006 (UTC) Thanks - blocking an IP used by thousands also means administrators will be bombarded by multiple unblock requests on different user pages - solution - put pressure on administrators not to block these IPs except for anonymous users.

Thanks for your question but I'm away from my computer for a few days so it might be best to put it to one of the Help Desks. In any case, I'm not knowledgeable on copyright matters because I only put pics from ny own camera onto WP. Best Wishes - Adrian Pingstone 07:54, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

Your edit to Tame Iti

Spud One

It's fine with those extra details. However, for a the page to be about "Spud One" (rather than 727s owned by the airforce), you'd expect it to be a plane that spud could fly in, which was 2, hence the reversion. This had been justified earlier in the article history --Limegreen 04:36, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

(above is in response to a message on Limegreen's mail box: "Spud One:- While this is truly deeply unimportant, there were in fact three 727s, (see ). Have reverted your revert :-)".

Just to explain "weasel"... There's a clear difference between the original "Prime Minister Helen Clark replaced...", and your fresh edit. There was a sourcing problem, but in my mind more importantly, the previous version implied Clark herself had a vendetta against the airforce. Maybe she does, and maybe she did make the decision herself, but that would *really* need to be sourced. Your current version "The Labour government was criticized..." seems to be a far more accurate and NPOV than the former version.
I don't consider this an edit-war at all. I've just been deleting whereas you've been fixing. I'm not doing this in an agenda-ist fashion. Cheers, --Limegreen 03:35, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

No worries. I wouldn't call myself a 'deletionist', but if it's something that I'm not so interested in or I'm short of time, I'll just delete. For example, perhaps unless there's compelling evidence that the planes are still called Spud One, that article might be better moved to a different name with a redirect from Spud One, etc. But I'm not doing that today! Or even seriously thinking about doing it. --Limegreen 03:45, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Avro 621 Tutor

If it is for historical reference the flags of course shouldnt be in there, but it would be better if the list was more organised, for instance by making it a bulleted list: Misplaced Pages:List_guideline#List_styles. Same goes for the specifications.

Also, why do you put the question mark before the number instead of after? - Dammit 07:11, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

Monty Python TfD compromise

There is a compromise now posted on the TfD if you are still interested in this debate. One question, even though you are against this TfD, have you even taken the master template out for a test drive?

Though you don't agree with me, thank you for the compliment, though I don't think there is a shrubbery award just yet. :) - LA @ 07:57, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
So, you like Who too? Which Doctor is your favorite? There is a master template for that too, but why am I stating the obvious? :) - LA @ 08:16, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
I came in really late, so my favorite is the 9th Dcotor.
Put this on your page {{User Doctor Who Doctor|4}}. You will get a nice little box with a link to Doctor Who in general, and the Fourth Doctor specifically. ;) - LA @ 08:25, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
