The OurMine Security Group is a hacker group. The group uses hacks of celebrity internet accounts to advertise their commercial services.
In 2016, they hacked the Twitter accounts of Misplaced Pages co-founder Jimmy Wales, Pokemon Go creator John Hanke, Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, and Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg, whose Pinterest was also hacked. Besides the social media accounts, the group hacked the website TechCrunch. On October 5th 2016 Buzzfeed website was hacked in what appeared to be a retaliation against a recent article posted about the hacker group, Buzzfeed responded with the following statement "The hacking group OurMine Wednesday altered several posts on Buzzfeed.com after a Buzzfeed News article reported that a Saudi teenager is most likely behind scores of hacks of Tech CEO's and celebrities. Buzzfeed News is working to restore the altered articles, including the original report on the group."
