The protest got a wide attention over the social media mainly across the Twitter with the hashtag #NotInMyName. Many online publishers came forward and showed their favour for the protest. The protest is aimed to stop the attack and mob lynching of the Muslims and the Dalits by the 'cow vigilantes' and started after several incidents of Mob lynching in the country because of the outrage of people against beef eating.
