The protest is aimed to stop the attack and mob lynching of the Muslims and the Dalits by the 'cow vigilantes' and started after several incidents of Mob lynching in the country because of the outrage of people against beef eating.

The Prime Ministed later issued a statement against the Mob Lynching and stated that "Killing people in name of cow not acceptable, Gandhi won't approve" <ref></ref>

The protest is aimed to stop the attack and mob lynching of the Muslims and the Dalits by the 'cow vigilantes' and started after several incidents of Mob lynching in the country because of the outrage of people against beef eating.
