Johny Messo (born January 8, 1978 in Hengelo) is a Dutch-Assyrian politician. He has been the president of the World Council of Assyrian (Syriacs) since 2009. His parents are both from the ancient city of Midyat. He has written several books about the Assyrian identity. He also gave lectures about Assyrianism in different European countries, United States, India, and the Middle-East.
