Re: .

: Seriously, if you've got a problem with the Lua (martial arts) page, don't cut it down to a few sentences. Before you "fixed" the page, there were several paragraphs of information, and now there is but one. Doesn't seem lilke much of a "fix" to me.

:Granted, I don't have the most intimate knowledge of whether my usage of the about.com stuff constitues copyright violation. As both sites are free distributors of information, I fail to see how this could even be contested. {{unsigned|Amn Kit|2006-06-26t18:29:56z}}

Re: and .

:Both the Misplaced Pages article on ] and the existence of a special template "{{Catholic}}" for its source references clearly state that it is, inevitably because of its age, in the public domain. There is a long-running project to systematically enter all its data, thousands of pages have already been included in Misplaced Pages by many users, and I never saw a single one of the hundres on my watchlist undone just on your copyvio line of thought which if true should apply to the bulk of them. If you have any problems with this, then challenge the page and template, though I can't see the foggiest reason to do so.
:If you have specific content objections, that's a different matter, but utterly vague referals to hopelessly general policy pages don't even begin to give a clue - precise points could be most interesting and worthy of consideration, quite possibly leading to constructive alterations, but I can't guess them. I look forward to learning something from your objections and observations on content page's talk pages, and/or from specific content edits. ] 05:18, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

::Sorry if I posted that question in the wrong place, but the link you provided does not sufficiently answer my question. It says that in order to consolidate the two contribution lists, I have to redirect the old one into the new. All well and good except for the facts that in order to redirect a page, you have to edit a redirect command into that page -- and user contribution pages are apparently un-editable. So the directions there are really not helpful at all. If you do not want to answer my question yourself, and you don't want me to post the question where it was, can you at least point me to the right place to post it so someone can eventually give me an answer? I love Misplaced Pages, but navigating through its help section can be a nightmare. -- Minaker {{unsigned|Minaker|2006-09-28t20:26:59z}}

LoC ISBN search.

Greetings! I saw your name on the talk page for the {{LCCN}} template. I'm wondering if a similar template can be made to search LC by ISBN. Any ideas? Cheers, Pegship 03:31, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi - I've replied on the OTRS page, but if there's a backlog, I'm happy to start now (/me can multitask :)). Thanks, Martinp23 20:24, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

OK, thanks - I've added the channel to my autojoin, so I'll be in there whenever I'm online. Thanks, Martinp23 21:20, 17 December 2006 (UTC) And I'll be sure to do that homework :)

Disappearing text.

Hi, I have added some info on the article Bharatanatyam. However, I do not see it anymore. However, when I go to the edit page, I see it there. Also, when editing, and clicking on Show preview, it does not show the whole article. Can you help me? Here is the paragraph that I am talking about:

Surviving texts of the golden age of Tamil literature and poetry known during the Sangam Age such as the Tolkappiyam, as well as the later Silappadikaram, testify to a variety of dance traditions which flourished in these times. The latter work is of particular importance, since one of its main characters, the courtesan Madhavi, is a highly accomplished dancer. The Silappadikaram is a mine of information of ancient Tamil culture and society, in which the arts of music and dance were highly developed and played a major role.
