The company began purveying the product to consumers around July 2018. In December 2019, the the New York World Wine and Spirits Competition awarded Skrewball whisky a Double Gold medal for best flavoured whisky. The product also received the Double Gold medal in August 2018 at the New York competition. Skrewball's product is prepared using "real, natural peanuts" that are refined into a clear liquid. Skrewball whiskey has been described as having a "thick and syruplike body", a "powerful, wafting aroma of booze and peanuts" and an "intense sweetness".
