Devendra Kulathar also referred to as Devendra Kulam is a subcaste of Devendrakula Velalar an agricultural community found in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The territorial divisions among the Devendra Kulathar are Cholan, Kongan, Pandiyan, Kudumban, Eshwaran, Devendra.

Current status

This community is classified as OBC caste under positive discrimination by the government.

Marriage

Clans regulate marriage alliances. Their clans namely Kandhan kootam, Masaniamman Kulam, Karupparaayan Kulam, Ankalamman Kulam, Adi Kaliamman Kulam, Maduraiveeran Kulam and Kamakshiamman Kulam. Each kulam is affiliated to a deity.
