During the evening of 3 August 2021, a Taliban suicide car bomber and gunmen attacked a house belonging to the Afghan defense minister Bismillah Khan Mohammadi in Sherpur, Kabul, Afghanistan, where a resistance group was suspected of meeting. Thirteen people were killed, including five attackers. Twenty other people were injured, including two of Mohammadi's bodyguards.
