Managing a conflict of interest
Hello, RK777713. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Ryan Kavanaugh, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Misplaced Pages:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Misplaced Pages:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Misplaced Pages's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Misplaced Pages:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. ––FormalDude talk 22:39, 28 August 2021 (UTC)

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for making legal threats or taking legal action. You are not allowed to edit Misplaced Pages while the threats stand or the legal action is unresolved.If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page:{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
.
- You may well have some valid concerns about past edits to Ryan Kavanaugh and that article is currently semi-protected so that these issues can be worked out. I noticed that in your first edit, you claimed to be Ryan Kavanaugh. We have no proof either way but one thing is for sure. Misplaced Pages policy forbids any editor who threatens to sue another Misplaced Pages editor from editing as long as that threat stands. You have every right to pursue legal action in the courts against anyone. But you will not be permitted to edit Misplaced Pages as long as your legal threats stand. If you want to have any input into this Misplaced Pages article, then you must unambiguously retract all threats of legal action. I also note that you were harshly critical of an editor who was actually trying to help you, although you later withdrew those accusations. You need to be cautious and careful when dealing with other Misplaced Pages editors. Misplaced indignation is counterproductive. Cullen Let's discuss it 01:06, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
