Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Misplaced Pages, as you did to Lemn Sissay, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. The edit you just made to the article introduces an inaccuracy. Her ethnicity is not "disputed". She perpetuated a falsehood about her background during her lifetime (no judgment - she wasn't exactly operating in a racially-friendly environment), but recent research shows she was half-black, the daughter of an enslaved black woman. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 15:53, 21 December 2019 (UTC)
