Style

T-Pain's music can be best be pigeonholed as R&B, both his musical style and lyrical quality deviate from the traditional platforms of the genre. T-Pain's lyrics are often very personal and compassionate, unusual for many of the artist's colleagues, and his music has a harder edge than the standard smooth sound of most R&B artists. T-Pain also experiments with the now world-famous "Crunk&B" style of music made famous by artists such as Ciara.

T-Pain has found musical success in using a unique vocoder style within his music, giving his voice a unique sounding tone, enhancing his recognisability as a solo artist, and also in a number of collaborative tracks.

T-Pain has collaborated with other known producers for Britney Spears' upcoming album, due in 2007.
