Bernadette "Bernie" Therese Nolan is an Irish born entertainer turned actress (born October 17, 1960 in Dublin, Republic of Ireland) who was raised in Blackpool where her family moved to when she was under 2 years old in 1962.

She originally found fame as a member of The Nolans, a group consisting over the years of various of the Nolan sisters and releasing hits such as 'I'm in the Mood for Dancing.' She left the group in 1994, to concentrate on her own career, and in 2000 she joined the cast of Channel 4's soap opera Brookside, leaving in 2002 to play Sheelagh Murphy in ITV's police drama series The Bill.

In 2005 Nolan released her debut solo album All By Myself. It was re-released towards the end of 2006.

In 2006 she took part in Channel 4's series The Games, coming 5th out of 5 in the females However, rumours abound that she may have actually come fourth and was only ranked last due to a scoring error.
