Asian Games appearances (overview) | |
Pakistan is scheduled to compete at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, which is going to be held from 23 September 2023 to 8 October 2023. Originally, the event was scheduled to held in September 2022 but due to COVID-19 pandemic cases rising in China the event was postponed and rescheduled to 23 September to 8 October 2023. The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) confirmed that they are sending 222 athletes and 65 officials to the event. Unfortunately, the Pakistani gymnastics and baseball teams will not be able to participate in the tournament due to lack of funds which the sports board had refused to allocate. As a result, a delegation of 287 athletes ( which consist of 160 males and 62 females) and officials combined will be heading to the mega event.
