Reconciling Ministries Network

Wow! Thanks for expanding this page. --Alynna 15:03, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for noticing. I don't think I'm quite finished with it yet, but I do think that it's looking a bit stronger. -FisherQueen (Talk) 15:04, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks also for updating. I added some info, thanks for adding more and clearing up what I did. I have pleanty of RMN related pictures, especially from GC2004 (I am on the board of directors) that I took and have the right to use, but I don't know how to add them. Can we put up the RMN logo? I also just made some minor edits. Nothing major. --R0bbiegill 19:27, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Fantastic! Instructions on how to upload images is at Misplaced Pages:Uploading images. It's not quite as complicated as it looks... sort of. You just need to make sure that you use the tags provided to make it clear that you have the right to give Misplaced Pages permission to use and distribute the image. I think. I've messed up in adding images often enough to feel like it's wiser to just point you toward the relevant instructions and wish you luck. If you can get one or two pictures uploaded that capture the spirit of RMN, I'd be happy to help add them to the article. I don't think there's any problem with using the logo; it seems like it would be appropriate to add.
On a personal note, since I've got a Board of Directors person right here- thanks. The Reconciling Ministries saved either my faith or my sanity... I don't know which way it would have gone, but being part of a reconciling church transformed my life. I'm sure you hear that all the time, but I'm going to say it again anyway. -FisherQueen (Talk) 19:09, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Friendly note from a fellow editor

I AM FISHER QUEEN I LOVE COCK AND I'M GHEY LAOZLZOZLOZLZOZLZZLZLZOLZOZLOZLZOZLZOZLZOL PENIS BOOBIES DICK DICK MANBAGS — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jfkmslol (talkcontribs)

I understand most of this message. The editor seems a bit confused about my gender. What really puzzles me is the reference to 'manbags.' I have no idea what this is. Whatever it is, there doesn't seem to be an article about it. -FisherQueen (Talk) 20:17, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Scrota, perhaps? --Orange Mike 20:23, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Don't men just have one of those? I guess the plural indicates more than one man... but there's a singular noun form for 'cock.' And also 'boobies.' I'm trying to imagine what kind of person I could be involved with that has boobies, a cock, and multiple scroti... and it just isn't working for me. -FisherQueen (Talk) 20:28, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Oh God, now I'm gonna have nightmares. Philippe 20:36, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
The edit summaries from my friends' user pages are just awesome. And is it "scroti" for real? If I remember my Latin, it's "-um -a -ae"? wikt:Scrotum says "scrota or scrotums". Okay - obsessed enough. TTYL :) -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 21:29, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
I'm sure you're right about that. I was being unnecessarily whimsical. It's a failing, alas, which I am all too prone to. -FisherQueen (Talk) 21:30, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Oh give over FisherQueen, no-one wants to hear your attempted witty comments trying to suck up to administrators and all that crap. All you ever do is try to act cool infront of them. No wonder they turned down your request to be an admin, you dont even do anything useful anyway. I dont blame people like Jfkmslol for posting insults like that on your page. JFBurton 14:34, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
OK, Here's my guess: manbags=manboobs. Happy reading. Jeffpw 15:26, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Good lord. There's an article you won't find on Brittanica. -FisherQueen (Talk) 15:28, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Blocked

Fisherqueen, I am puzzled as to why I have been blocked after warning me that my last change was bias. The warning stated that I would be blocked if I continued to re-post the information, I did not. Instead I contacted you after reading your Neutral point of view policy and offered to re-word my post. This seems a little harsh, after all I've never shown any malice to you or this site. Bravedave 00:19, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Well, I'm not FQ but in the interest of getting you a quick answer I'll try to field this one. I checked the block log and don't see that you've been blocked. All I see are a couple of warnings to your talk page, but no official action taken. I'll copy this to your talk page so that you see it. Philippe 02:57, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm going to go with Philippe on this one; I don't see anything in your block log. I'd like to point out that I'm not an admin, so I don't have the power to block you. If you get blocked, it'll be someone else who does it. If you were blocked, you would not have been able to post this message on my talk page. -FisherQueen (Talk) 10:18, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Vandalism on bacon

In regards to your edit summary, I think the article is vandalized because Bacon is a "funny" word. The cultural commons (and I mean the commons) is littered with phrases like your "everybody loves bacon". It's an easy punchline, and an obvious target for juvenile humor. --Eyrian 20:09, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Endless Online

Misplaced Pages is an encyclopedia. I cannot see any reason why information about a private server is helpful or informative in an encyclopedia meant to inform a general audience. Nor can I see any reasonable way that this information can be attributed to a reliable source. If you are aware of a Misplaced Pages guideline that would support adding this detail to the article, I hope you'll bring it to my attention. If not, please stop adding it. -FisherQueen (Talk) 10:25, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Ok ok, I have been informed that I should keep that information to myself. But it would have been useful to post it here for people that didn't know about it if I hadn't been told to keep my mouth shut. Like I said, sometimes Cascade does make exceptions and lets decent people onto his "Private Server". And whoever said it wasn't a reliable source? Seems like you just don't know anything about it. You madam, have just been owned. :P -Plasmastar — Preceding unsigned comment added by Plasmastar (talkcontribs)

A reliable source is something published independent from anyone associated with the game. Have any newspapers, magazines, or online reviews of the game discussed this server? In addition, while comments like "you have just been owned" and "you just don't know anything about it" are appropriate in some places, they are not considered civil in Misplaced Pages, where we try hard to stay polite. You can sign any post by adding four tildes- that's the little ~ squiggly thing. -FisherQueen (Talk) 00:35, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Msh100

I just reported User:Msh100 to WP:AIV. Aleta 22:13, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Ok. I was waiting to see if she vandalised again after the final warning, which she doesn't seem to have done, but if she gets blocked anyway, she'll get no tears from me. -FisherQueen (Talk) 22:24, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Smile

Because you always look out for me and cheer me up when I am down

And because you are a most valuable, kind Wikifriend.

Jeffpw 22:23, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Aw, thanks, Jeffpw! You're very sweet. -FisherQueen (Talk) 15:22, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Just a quick note.

Next time someone starts posting abusive messages, have him blocked before the end of the year. :) Hope you're well. Dev920 (Have a nice day!) 15:37, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

He has been blocked quite a few times on my account already. But an indefinite block... now I truly will have a nice day. In any case, there's no point in putting administrators to any trouble on my account- after all, I don't do anything useful around here anyway (see above). -FisherQueen (Talk) 15:39, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Just a howdy...

... and a round of applause for putting up with all kinds of shit and still keeping it classy classier than the trolls. Nice job. – Riana 16:30, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Me, classy? You clearly haven't read the 'manbags' discussion above... but thanks, nevertheless. -FisherQueen (Talk) 16:33, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Classy, but in a very twisted sort of way. Philippe 18:31, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
You may not have seen my final word at ANI, so I'll repeat it here: if he start sockpuppeting disruptively, please don't hesitate to request a community ban at WP:CN. Congrats on staying cool when the trolls got hot. Cheers, Moreschi 20:34, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
I'd like to think he was too wise to sockpuppet at me... you know, some days, it's hard to assume good faith. Thanks, and thanks for your response to my cry for help, too. -FisherQueen (Talk) 22:21, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Image

Hi FisherQueen!

Very good question. I've had a brief poke about, and you're right, nobody states ownership or gives a source for the photograph. My best guess is that it comes from a book on the subject - there's one mentioned on the stated source for the image.

Whilst the image might be old enough to be copyright-expired, I'll lay money that the hand-colouring is modern and thus the image is a derivative; if so, that renews the copyright (in favour of the person who created the derivative). So, the original image: I'd be pretty sure we could use it; this version: I'd be pretty sure we'd not be able to.

An option of course is to go to Misplaced Pages:Requesting copyright permission - somewhere off that page there's a nice template letter you can send to request permission under a free license from the webmaster of one of the sites. That'd solve all problems... although if the image comes from a book, I don't know how much that permission would be worth.

Sorry I can't be more definite here!   REDVERS  SЯEVDEЯ  13:08, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

I guess it's off to the library for me, to find the book that uses the image and gives more information about its origins- or I can see if the webmaster at Grand Guignol Online knows more about it. Thanks for your advice. -FisherQueen (Talk) 13:10, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
