== Greek motorway article names ==
I am seeking feedback on the possibility of renaming most Greek motorway articles to follow the format "A8 motorway (Greece)" instead of "]".
The reason for the proposed rename is to match the naming scheme of other motorways that use the A# format, such as ] and ]: in addition, new and updated motorway signs in Greece use the A# format (source: ). --] (]) 07:58, 26 July 2024 (UTC)
:Hi ], I hope this finds you well and sorry for the late response. After looking through some of the articles about Greek motorways, I would personally give this rename the go ahead. If I didn't answer your question, or you want some clarity/help on something, then please give me a shout either here or on my talk page. Regards, ] (]) 08:49, 12 August 2024 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of A508 road (August 2024)
The article A508 road has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
full of original research
While all constructive contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Roads4117 (talk) 10:35, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
Websites for road lengths.
There is an ongoing discussion at Misplaced Pages:Teahouse#Websites for road articles, which may be of interest to this WikiProject. Roads4117 (talk) 07:35, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
Help with road symbols?
Where do I go for the creation of road symbols to display in {{Infobox road}}?
Namibia has A, B, C, and D roads, but the old road names "trunk road" (TR), "main road" (MR) and "district road" (DR) are still in use occasionally, on maps and as road signs. Specifically, the MR 118 Oranjemund-Rosh Pinah has no other name.
I guess nobody has created the symbols; would that be possible? See C13 road (Namibia) where I commented out the entry in the infobox, as it led to an ugly error. Thanks -- Pgallert (talk) 19:04, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Pgallert, I hope that you are well. For road signs and symbols, you need to go to Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Highways/Route markers. But just to pre-warn you that the wait for someone to actually read your message and create the road marker can take up to six months. Hope that answers your question! Regards, Roads4117 (talk) 07:49, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you very much @Roads4117, I'll try that. --Pgallert (talk) 08:59, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
A6 road (England)
This is a pretty poor article, with very little content apart from a mile-by-mile route description (obtainable from any good road atlas). There's nothing about its history - Romans? Turnpike roads? Importance pre-M6? Current developments? PamD 08:33, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- Please dierect all responses to Misplaced Pages talk:WikiProject UK geography#A6 road (England). Roads4117 (talk) 09:41, 8 September 2024 (UTC)
- Fine, but I wasn't aiming to start a discussion, just to prompt interested editors to take some action to improve the article! That's why I posted identically here and there, though with hindsight I should have stated that I had cross-posted. PamD 09:51, 8 September 2024 (UTC)
1950–1975 E-roads in Greece
It is possible that the E-road network in Greece may get its own article because of how many changes it happened especially during the first network from 1950 to 1975. I need help in proofreading the routes and amendments at User:Minoa/International E-road network in Greece, in case I missed any additions and removals affecting Greece: also, one of the amendments to the network, at https://treaties.un.org/doc/Publication/UNTS/Volume%20651/v651.pdf is very confusing because I thought Belgrade–Niš–Thessaloniki was a very important international route and was mostly later defined as part of the E75. --Minoa (talk) 01:50, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Minoa, I have just read through your sandbox page; personally I would say that what you should do is just list all of the changes using that as a reference to back up everything, and then just talk about from then to now. Aslo, maybe include a list of all the Greek E routes and where they go from and to etc. But I do agree that it probably needs an article. Roads4117 (talk) 09:32, 8 September 2024 (UTC)
More than one map in an article
An editor added a map to the N1 (South Africa) article, meaning that there is the map in the Infobox and an additional map just after the Infobox. Now, is it necessary to have "more than one map" in an article like this, considering that the two maps are basically showing the same thing? GeographicAccountant (talk) 13:38, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
- @GeographicAccountant: I would say that the interactive map is the better option, and that should be moved into the infobox in place of the static map. That said, the highlighted line in the interactive map should be more pronounced. On most maps, that line would be red, for instance. Imzadi 1979 → 01:56, 11 September 2024 (UTC)
