I find that cherrypicks the source. The source also says, among other things (on the same page, 66):
*" hope was that brute and indiscriminate force would achieve the last two of these objectives, turning Lebanon’s inhabitants and government against Hizballah and pushing them to bring the party into check."
*" a disregard for the essential distinction between ‘military targets’ and ‘civilians’."
*"On the whole, however, Hizballah did not locate its military facilities in builtup areas, preferring to build its bunkers and weapons storage facilities in fields and valleys on the outskirts of southern villages."

Israel Lebanon conflict

I find that this edit cherrypicks the source. The source also says, among other things (on the same page, 66):

  • " hope was that brute and indiscriminate force would achieve the last two of these objectives, turning Lebanon’s inhabitants and government against Hizballah and pushing them to bring the party into check."
  • " a disregard for the essential distinction between ‘military targets’ and ‘civilians’."
  • "On the whole, however, Hizballah did not locate its military facilities in builtup areas, preferring to build its bunkers and weapons storage facilities in fields and valleys on the outskirts of southern villages."
