Rami Abu Shihab (born 25, July 1974) is a Palestinian writer and academic critic specializing in literary criticism, cultural studies and post-colonial discourse.

Early life and education

Shihab was born in 1974 in Jordan seven years after the Naksa (the 1967 war), a pivotal event in Palestinian history that led to displacement of thousands of families. He completed his primary and secondary education after returning to Jordan then earned a bachelor's degree in Arabic Language and Literature from Mutah University, where he developed an early appreciation for the role of language in exploring identity and addressing marginalization.
