Sir Chief Popoola Ladapo KSG (March 12, 1922–September 13, 1987) was a Nigerian businessman.

Life

He was a scion of the Ladapo family of Abebi, Ibadan. He served as the Chairman of the Electoral Commission, Oyo State, between 1979 and 1983, during the Nigerian Second Republic.

Chief Ladapo, during his tenure in 1983, played a pivotal role in addressing challenges surrounding local government elections in Oyo State. He identified key obstacles such as financial constraints and the incomplete voters' list, which posed significant challenges to the Commission's efforts to conduct elections. He emphasized that holding local government elections in Oyo State would not be feasible without finalizing the voters' list. Governor Ige, in response, assured the Commission of his administration's commitment to providing the necessary resources once all claims and objections regarding the voters' list were resolved.
