Belgian activist
Willy Fautré

Willy Fautré (1944) is a Belgian activist and the co-founder and director of Human Rights Without Frontiers (HRWF), an organization established in 1988 that promotes human rights globally. He has authored numerous articles in academic journals on the relationship between the state and religion.

Biography

Fautré is a member of the International Consortium on Law and Religious Studies (ICLARS) and previously served as a chargé de mission in the Belgian Parliament. For two decades, he has advocated for the rights of Christian asylum seekers from Turkey residing in Belgium and has written extensively on the situation of minorities in Turkey. Additionally, he participates in human rights dialogues between the European Union and various nations, including Turkey.
