* Looking for the latest news on this, I find that the explains it as a feud between drug mafias over a lost stash. The lead of the article says nothing about drugs or the narco-cartel nature of the conflict. It's just a naïve "OMG, some people have been killed" and it still hasn't got the number right. ]🐉(]) 11:12, 23 January 2025 (UTC) | * Looking for the latest news on this, I find that the explains it as a feud between drug mafias over a lost stash. * There probably should be some mention of the hotel name in the hotel blurb if we are naming the hotel via caption. Its clear going from blurb to image that that's the hotel, but in reverse (looking at image, trying to go back) leaves it a bit in the air to require deduction, even if our usual practice is to use an image for the first blurb. I recognize that the hotel name and ski resort name are not the same and that complicates matters. ] (]) 13:02, 23 January 2025 (UTC) | |||

Wikimedia project page for Main Page error reporting ShortcutsPlease submit error reports only for content that is currently or will imminently appear on the Main Page. For general discussion about the Main Page, kindly use its talk page. |
National variations of the English language have been extensively discussed previously:
|
To report an error in content currently or imminently on the Main Page, use the appropriate section below.
Main Page toolbox- Protected pages
- Commons media protection
- Associated
- It is currently 20:42 UTC.
- Purge the Main Page
- Purge this page
- Where is the error? An exact quotation of the text in question helps.
- Offer a correction if possible.
- References are helpful, especially when reporting an obscure factual or grammatical error.
- Time zones. The Main Page runs on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC, currently 20:42 on 23 January 2025) and is not adjusted to your local time zone.
- Can you resolve the problem yourself? If the error lies primarily in the content of an article linked from the Main Page, fix the problem there before reporting it here. Text on the Main Page generally defers to the articles with bolded links. Upcoming content on the Main Page is usually only protected from editing beginning 24 hours before its scheduled appearance. Before that period, you can be bold and fix any issues yourself.
- Do not use {{edit fully-protected}} on this page, which will not get a faster response. It is unnecessary, because this page is not protected, and causes display problems because this is not a talk page. (See the bottom of this revision for an example.)
- No chit-chat. Lengthy discussions should be moved to a suitable location elsewhere, such as the talk page of the relevant article or project.
- Respect other editors. Another user wrote the text you want changed, or reported an issue they see in something you wrote. Everyone's goal should be producing the best Main Page possible. The compressed time frame of the Main Page means sometimes action must be taken before there has been time for everyone to comment. Be civil to fellow users.
- Reports are removed when resolved. Once an error has been addressed or determined not to be an error, or the item has been rotated off the Main Page, the report will be removed from this page. Check the revision history for a record of any discussion or action taken; no archives are kept.

Errors with "In the news"
- A series of attacks by the National Liberation Army in the Catatumbo region of Colombia leaves more than a hundred people dead.
The number killed in Catatumbo is erroneous. The figure of 100 comes from France 24 but that is reporting "across three Colombian departments -- from the remote Amazon jungle in the south to the mountainous northeastern border with Venezuela". The breakdown seems to be 80 in the north and 20 in the south so 80+20=100. But these numbers seem to be rough estimates because these regions are quite wild. Andrew🐉(talk) 10:40, 22 January 2025 (UTC)
- Our article doesn't mention attacks outside of the Catatumbo region. Secretlondon (talk) 13:36, 22 January 2025 (UTC)
- The lead of the article is inaccurate as it misrepresents the sources. It also doesn't explain who was attacked and why. This is not a quality article. Andrew🐉(talk) 17:03, 22 January 2025 (UTC)
- Looking for the latest news on this, I find that the BBC explains it as a feud between drug mafias over a lost stash. The lead of the article says nothing about drugs or the narco-cartel nature of the conflict. It's just a naïve "OMG, some people have been killed" and it still hasn't got the number right. Today's OTD
The "on this day" section states that the last signal was received from Pioneer 10 on January 23, 2010. This is not correct; the actual date was January 23, 2003. This is sourced in the article on the spacecraft. 98.97.40.176 (talk) 00:14, 23 January 2025 (UTC)

The Hongwu Emperor ruled for three decades(1368-1398), not three centuries RaschenTechner (talk) 12:48, 23 January 2025 (UTC)
- The "three centuries" assertion refers to the Ming dynasty as a whole, not to the Hongwu Emperor alone. — Amakuru (talk) 13:01, 23 January 2025 (UTC)
