He's cousins with actor/singer, Marques Houston and maybe also as indirect cousin to his former bandmate, Omarion as well as O'Ryan, because Marques considered Omarion's relationship. He had a daughter on October 5, 2005, Anaia Jolie Houston with his longtime girlfriend and the couple has welcomed their second child together on December 14 2006 Jarell Damonte Houston Jr. He and former group member Lil Fizz are currently in a new movie set to be released in 2007 called Steppin' The Movie

He has been busy working on his rapping skills.He is featured on a Chicago mixtape with an artist named Hypno. The song is called Ryda also, he is the second verse on Lil Fizz's One Night Stand.
