My RFA

Thanks for lending me your support on my RFA. I didn't quite make it this time through, but I'll be back soon enough to give it another go! Hiberniantears 14:46, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Checkuser on AdilBaguirov

Sorry, I corrected the code, it should have been B, an evasion of a ban by arbcom. Francis had used the wrong code. Its an evasion of a ban, as AdilBaguirov has done before. See the previous check user case that I posted and my comments on the current one. Thanks.Hajji Piruz 15:26, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

I posted the arbcom link.Hajji Piruz 15:30, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
There is no problem with the check user now, is it all ok?Hajji Piruz 15:37, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, can you post that on the checkuser page so as to avoid confusion for the checkers.Hajji Piruz 15:41, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Speedy Deletion of Titans (Webcomic)

For crying out load, man. The reason why it hasn't got much on it is because I just created it. I wanted to get the damn page up before adding more stuff to it. Don't get your knickers in a twist just because a page isn't created perfectly immediately. Don't get your knickers in a twist and select every new page for speedy deletion. In fact, I'm going to go cliché and say you're the cancer that is killing Misplaced Pages. There, I said it. Give me a day or two before being a dick. And don't moan that I'm insulting you, since your behaviour simply called for it. --D'Argent 17:18, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Your RfA

Hi, I see your undergoing an RfA. I really wish you the best of luck, I know that an RfA can be a harsh process, and if you need anything, feel free to ask. Cheers, Dfrg.msc 07:10, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/List of United States Presidents by longevity (2nd nomination)

You commented that there was a discussion, I looked at all the talk pages for each article suggested to be merged into the by age one, there was no active discussion at the time I put it up for deletion. Kwsn 18:47, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

Hi Kwsn, I meant the discussion at talk:List of United States Presidents by age. You're right in that when you nominated there had not been much discussion in a couple of weeks. But I didn't think of that as a very long time, especially when it takes a lot of work to troubleshoot those sortable tables. And really, I'm not sure why you took it to AfD without at least first mentioning it on the talk pages to see if anyone was paying attention, but no big deal... looks like it will all get fixed either way. Cheers! --JayHenry 21:17, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

You're welcome

You're welcome for my support in your RfA. :) Acalamari 16:08, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

I wish you best of luck if you choose to go again at a later date, and I will definately support you :) Matt/TheFearow (Talk) (Contribs) (Bot) 22:11, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

Your RfA

I usually just reply to comments on my own talk page there, but I wanted to be sure you got this one so I'm putting it here instead.

I really hope my comments on your request didn't seem overly harsh or critical, and certainly hope that my opinion and the others expressed in opposition to your request don't discourage you. I've seen many of your contributions to the project and they are by and large of high quality. I value you as an editor. It won't take a lot of development on your part to get me to change my mind, so I do hope to see more of your contributions and hope to see your name in RfA again in the near future. Keep up the good work and I'm sure next time my !vote will be going in the support column. Arkyan &#149; 17:56, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Thanks!

I'm still in shock myself... Andre (talk) 09:43, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

  • Our Deputy Coordinators have been doing a fabulous job so far. Well done!
  • The portal is now looking very snazzy, well done to Fireplace for all his hard work.
  • The list of LGBT people to be sorted has now beed reduced by 20%. Please help us with it, all of us adding just one person a day would have a dramatic effect!
  • The Core Topics is now largely complete. The original aim of getting some kind of publication out of it is extremely long term - any short term uses we can make of it are welcome on the project talkpage.
  • A suggestion was made this month that we start our own wiki. Although the conclusion was that we felt we were a part of Misplaced Pages rather than a stand alone organisation, it seems there is an LGBT wiki already, at http://lgbt.wikia.com/Main_page . Members may be interested in getting involved there.
  • The Collaboration is now getting rather short on suggestions. Article nominations for August through December would be welcome on the talkpage.
  • There is now a list of Missing LGBT Topics. Help is needed to work out which topics can be made redirects or need to be created. Please contribute is you can.
  • An LGBT banner that was created for Misplaced Pages's internal ads system has now been adapted so it can be placed on blogs and websites. The html is <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/WP:LGBT"><img src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/76/Qxz-ad48.gif" height="53" width="445"></a> Please credit Miranda and link to her userpage: <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/User:Miranda">Miranda</a>. The banner can be seen in action here. If you have a blog or a website, please consider adding the banner, either in a post or as part of your profile.

WikiProject AFC is holding a one month long assessment drive!
The goal of this drive is to eliminate the backlog of unreviewed articles. The drive is running from July 15, 2007 – August 15, 2007.

Awards to be won range from delicacies such as the WikiCookie to barnstars.
There is a backlog of more than one year, so start reviewing articles! Visit the drive's page and help out!

This drive was organized by GrooveDog in an attempt to terminate that nasty backlog..

My RfA

Well, I was looking for a prettier way to do this, but I'm not very artistic, so I'll just say thank you for your support in my RfA, which was closed as successful. I look forward to serving the community in a new way. Take care! -- But|seriously|folks  08:21, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

your question

Sorry, but I forgot what it was. Maybe AFD, maybe RFCU. Somehow, your response seemed to fan the fire. However, in a recent RFCU, you calmed down the fire. I think the think people should be aware is that others may be tense or have anxiety during a contentious situation or article deletion possibility. The first job of the neutral admin is to try to calm things down. There are 1 or 2 admin which stand out as being quick on the trigger and not very friendly. Good luck. You'll do grow in the next month or two and then I'll likely vote "support". I've already seen more tact. Fineday 03:31, 15 July 2007 (UTC) In fact, why not write to me every 2-3 weeks and tell me what articles you've done and I might find similar interests. It's possible that I might even want to nominate you. Fineday 03:33, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

My RfA

Thank you very much for your support in my recent unsuccessful RfA. I am grateful for all of the advice, and hope that it will help me grow as an editor. Sincerely, Neranei /C 11:22, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, you're right, RfA shows even your smallest faults like nothing else. It is a really good learning experience though, but it definitely takes some guts to dive in . Thanks again! Warmest regards, Neranei /C 15:56, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

Help with article about (Kirk Fraser)

Im sending you a request. I've look over the deletion of Kirk Fraser, The original article had the incorrect spelling of his last name. Check out the (http://www.answers.com/topic/kirk-frasier) the article is still wrong. We originally created a new page on Misplaced Pages with the correct spelling and paste the content from Misplaced Pages with the incorrect spelling of Frasier. It was shortly deleted, we once again created it again, and it was also deleted. We don't know what to do. It seems like once it's up it taken down again, when it was originally put up by some one else. We just wanted to change the spelling of the Last name and fix the content that was wrong. Can you please help me in guiding me to correct this issue. Thanks.

Any help

Hello Kwsn, could you let me know how this is going. I want to take an editor to task for it and I suggest that it was uncivil attack. Your user page is great, the Termo is great, how dose it work. I could use one of those. --Domer48 23:12, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

WikiProject Articles for creation

WikiProject Articles for creation Backlog Elimination Drive News!

We are one week in to the drive, and it's already going fantastic. Numerous days of backlogs have been tackled, with hundreds of articles having been reviewed. We do, however, have some news!

First off, a HUGE congratulations to everyone participating so far. I understand some members are inactive due to vacation, but we are still making great progress.

Secondly, make sure that before you go off and review old submissions, that you review all submissions for the present day, and the day before, so that we aren't actually making a bigger backlog, by letting submissions get archived while we're checking stuff from 2006.

Third, remember to update your running total, on the drive page. Honesty is the best policy, so if you lie about the number of articles you've reviewed, we'll all make angry faces while looking at your userpage.

And, last, if you have any questions about the drive, feel free to ask me, or any other members of the project.

Great job, everyone! We're going to get that backlog!
GrooveDog.
