As a member of Wiki Aspergians, I hope you'll comment on the Asperger's FARC. I am voting to de-list, as I believe the article has taken a drastic POV shift toward pure pathology and away from the dual nature - talent+disability - articulated by the leading RS's of the field. I hope you'll vote whether you agree or not with my assessment : | |||

Disambiguation
Please be careful when changing. Club Atlético River Plate is not the same as River Plate. And try to avoid redirects such as Inter Milan, that takes to Internazionale

Thanks for the correction, I belatedly realized that I confused him with Fabian O'Neill, the Uruguayan. :) Sebastian Kessel 23:35, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
- CS, Ideally, to avoid 500000 modifications a week, I only update the tables on monday (or sunday night) after all games have been played for the week. That way, I don't need to go through changing the averages 4 different times. Whichever way you do it is fine by me, just though you may want to save the trouble. :) Sebastian Kessel 04:20, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- You are by no means stupid... :) Keep up the good work. Sebastian Kessel 19:20, 12 February 2006 (UTC)

Help
Craig, I'll be glad to help. Let me know what you need
Sebastian Kessel 16:07, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
PS: After a post, sign with 4 tildes (~~~~) so your name and timestamp get appended to your last message. :)
- Craig, if you tell me the website and page, I'll help with the translation "como hago para comprar un producto" means "how do I buy a product".
- Also, you might want to read How to edit a page, Help pages, Tutorial. Instructions are very clear there. The quick way to insert an image, though would be:
- ]
- Where XXX.gif is the image name, "right" (or "left") is the side and "250px" can be changed to adjust the size.
- Sebastian Kessel 17:18, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
- Craig, I don't really have time to translate the whole page, it's probably set in a standard fashion. If you need help with a particular sentence, let me know and I'll give you a hand. :) Sebastian Kessel 21:33, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
Templates
Earlier I had to ask you not remove "stub" templates — now you're removing {{catneeded}} templates, without adding any catregories. Why? If you don't know what they're for, then ask, don't just remove them. --Phronima 11:03, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
Argentine football
Hi Wolf! Hey, what do you say if you update the 2005-2006 in Argentine football article when all the matches of the round have been played? Otherwise, it takes twice as much work to do it half way, and then do the rest. Just an idea! You can find all the info every monday at Clarin. Take care, and good wiking. Mariano(t/c) 07:08, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
- Well, I believe that updating the hole round on mondays would be good enough, but do as you please. Regarding Clarin's link and Spanish, a few translation for you to use the site:
- Posiciones (Possitions) Pts:Points, J:Played, G:Won, E:Tied, P:Lost, GF:GoalsFor, GC:GoalsAgainst, DG:GoalDifference.
- Goleadores (Top Scorers): Jugador:Player, Equipo:Team, Total:Total, Jugada:Play, Cabeza:Head, T.Libre:FreeKick, Penal:Penalty.
- Descenso (Relegation): Promedio:Average, PJ:Games Played, PTS:Points
- Fixture Fecha:Round, Resultado Final:FinalResult, Resultado Parcial:Partial Result.

Re: Quilmes v River Plate
That's correct, the match was suspended at the minute 22 of the second half, and hasn't been officially ended. I wanted to close the section, and I have some experience on how this things end up in the Argentine league. But you're right, I should have waited for the official result. Mariano(t/c) 06:48, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
- I don't recall exactly, but yes, it could be 3 this season. But I think the others were suspended almost at the end of the match. Hey, shit happens everywere, even in switzerland!. Mariano(t/c) 10:11, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

F1 portal featured article
The F1 portal (in which I assume you have some degree of interest, as your name is listed on Misplaced Pages:WikiProject_Formula_One) is intended to have a regular rotation of a 'featured article'. I've swapped a few in and out over the last couple of months, but I think it would be better if there were more of a community attempt at deciding this, proposals, votes, that kind of thing. So - why not pop over to Portal_talk:Formula_One#Suggestions_for_Featured_Article: and make a suggestion. Ta. 4u1e 00:26, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

WikiProject NASCAR proposed standards
WikiProject NASCAR needs your help! We are in the process of forming our proposed standards which, when complete, will hopefully become a Misplaced Pages guideline. The guidelines will help editors understand Misplaced Pages consensus about things like which NASCAR-related articles meet notability standards. Please stop by and let us know what you think! Selected articles on Portal:F1
Hello again.
I dropped notes round a while back to those who have listed themselves at Misplaced Pages:WikiProject_Formula_One to ask for suggestions for selected articles on portal:Formula One. There was a pretty good response, both in terms of how it might work and of articles suggested. Damon Hill came out with the most support and was brought up to Good Article standard after a lot of work by Skully Collins before going on as the F1 portal selected article a couple of weeks ago. It is now at Featured Article Candidates as a Featured Article candidate (why not drop by and see if you can help polish it further?).
Several people who responded to the original request suggested that a monthly or bi-weekly 'Selected Article' could act as a catalyst for an improvement drive to get more articles up to a higher standard. Although it wasn't quite what I had in mind when I started, this seemed to work pretty well for the Damon Hill article, so I've drafted up a process for doing this more regularly. See Portal_talk:Formula_One/Management_of_selected_articles for details. Essentially the suggestion is that we vote for an article to improve every couple of weeks and at the end of the improvement process the article goes on the portal as the new 'Selected Article'. I'd be grateful for any comments on how this might work - I'm sure some of you are more familiar with things 'Wiki' than me - as well as your votes for the next candidate (by 16 July).
You may also want to help with the article Gilles Villeneuve, which was the next most popular after Damon Hill. The idea is to try and get it up to GA standard by 16 July and then put it on the portal as the 'Selected Article'. I hope you can help! 4u1e 15:05, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

Removing Content
Please do not remove content from Misplaced Pages. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. ForestH2 t/c 15:21, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- Why do you think? There have been no roster moves since July 6th. When there is, you can update it. It is considered vandalism. ForestH2 t/c 21:22, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- ForestH2 can "consider" it vandalism all he wants; that doesn't make it so. Vandalism has to be manifestly bad-faith; from what I can tell, I'm not even sure your edit is wrong. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 21:46, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- Updating it when there is no roster moves? Silly. ForestH2 t/c 21:49, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- It's still a correct as-of date for the roster. It may be a little silly. It may -- I have no idea -- be against some project guideline or another. It's not vandalism. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 21:50, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- I don't think you have much knowledge in the subject though I maybe mistaken. ForestH2

Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Scotland
Following a successful period of consultation WikiProject Scotland has now been launched. As a supporter of the initial proposal I wonder if you may be interested in this new endeavour? If so, please sign-up here. The WikiProject will be replacing some of the functions of the Scottish Wikipedians' notice board (which you are also invited to sign-up to!), especially those in the lower half.
While I am here, please also have a look at the new Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Scotland and give it a "Watch". It was started up by User:Visviva a few days ago, after long being mooted at the notice board, and effectively replaces all the AfD listings at the notice board. Being a transclusion of all the on-going discussions it is a much more useful tool.
Even if you do not want to spend too much time on the WikiProject, please give it a "Watch" and feel free to contribute to Talk page discussions: the more contributors the merrier.
All the best. --Mais oui! 11:57, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

- Improve the South Park main page
I have seen your South Park fan template and wondered if you were interested in joining. If so reply to my talk page and I'll get back to you as quick as I can. Thanks, Mr. Garrison

Hi Cs-wolves, as a WikiProject Scotland participant, please check out this this thread and consider adding the bot results page to your watchlist so we can manually update the New Articles page. There are some false results for the first batch, but I'm sure we can collectively tune the rules to improve the output.
If we get enough people watching the results page, we'll be cooking with gas as they say :) This looks like a great helper in finding new Scotland related material. Cheers. --Cactus.man ✍ 22:31, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
Indy and Franchitti
I think it's best you use the British flag in future, not the Scottish flag. It is stupid to put the Scottish flag for Franchitti and the British one for Wheldon. A decision needs to be made on that page, use the British flag for all British drivers, to tie it in to the rest of motor sport, or separate Indy from it and use the flags of England and Scotland. I.e. not a cross between the two. Thoughts? Alex Holowczak 17:17, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- Fair enough, I thought you put the flag in in the first place. But irrespective of the country used on ESPN, which frankly has no idea what it's talking about on this issue, surely we should go with the rest of motor racing as a whole and use the British flag for all drivers. The same is used throughout Formula One, for instance. I don't really mind which is used, but the use of both the British and Scottish flags together, at least, until the SNP gets a chance, is wrong in my opinion. Do you agree, and shall I put words to this effect to someone higher up the "chain of command" so to speak in the Motorsports Portal section? Alex Holowczak 18:32, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Isle of Man TT Races 2007
The official race distance for the Sidecar TT Race 'A' and 'B' is official quoted as 113.00 miles and is not 113.19 or 113.20 miles.
The average race speed in miles per hour has always been an integral part of Isle of Man TT Races results since the 1920's and are necessary. For instance, the 130 mph average lap speed has been quoted for John McGuinness. The addition of practice times and average speeds are also necesssary and have always been part of the Isle of Man TT Races.
The addition of practice time for the 2007 Isle of Man TT Races would bring it into general line for current Formula 1 and Moto GP results. Eventually, the style of results for the 2006 Isle of Man TT Races will be edited to reflect the results 1947-1971 and the 2005 TT Races results have been already been partially edited. {Agljones 08:36, 11 June 2007 (UTC)}
Fair use rationale for Image:Larrikin.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Larrikin.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Misplaced Pages articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Misplaced Pages:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 18:20, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Misplaced Pages policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. Bleh999 20:31, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:Jeep_Glasgow_30.6.07.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Jeep_Glasgow_30.6.07.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. — pd_THOR | 08:03, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
Glasgow attack picture
I suppose that would be better if it was clear enough. Taking a picture of it doesn't affect the fair use status though so it would still need a valid rationale. WATP • (contribs) 20:41, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
- Have a look here for an idea. As long as the image meets the criteria it should be fine. With regards to you creating the image, it should still be regarded as fair use since it is basically a representation of the same thing. WATP • (contribs) 20:56, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:Hillpark badge.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Hillpark badge.jpg.
Thank you. BetacommandBot 04:07, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
Image:Magick.jpg
I have tagged Image:Magick.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. Thank you. BigrTex 16:31, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use Image:GavinSmith.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:GavinSmith.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Misplaced Pages articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 16:45, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
Sean Thompson article
A tag has been placed on Sean Thompson, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Misplaced Pages criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Sanfranman59 01:25, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

WikiProject Snooker request
As a member of WikiProject Snooker, it is requested that you watchlist at least the following pages:
- Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Snooker - if the project members do not pay attention to changes at the project page, especially its talk page, effective collaboration will be nearly impossible and the project would eventually fail.
- Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Snooker/Wanted snooker bios - this is an important part of the project's to-do list.
- Snooker - our main article, frequently subject to vandalism and nonsense edits that (historically) have sometimes taken hours or even an entire day to be fixed
- Snooker season 2006/2007 - another important article
- Snooker world rankings 2006/2007 - another important article
- One or more player articles of your choice that you'd like to "adopt" as a guardian against vandalism, PoV-pushing, etc.
Keeping in touch with the rest of the team via the project pages, and keeping an occasional eye on core articles will go a long way to strengthening the project and protecting the articles. Thank you for your time and attention. — SMcCandlish ‹(-¿-)› 03:05, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
WikiProject Ice Hockey August 2007 Newsletter
edit WikiProject Ice Hockey Newsletter
Dear Cs-wolves! You are receiving this newsletter because you have signed up as a member of WikiProject Ice Hockey. The purpose of this newsletter is to update on the goings on of the project, as there have been major changes, and a lot of new recognized content in the past few weeks. If you are an inactive user, you probably won't recognize the new and improved state of the WikiProject! From the project, Maxim. edit New recognized contentBy Maxim
By Maxim Upon some discussion on the WikiProject talk page, the Article Improvement Drive page was revamped by Krm500 and Maxim. It was renamed Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Ice Hockey/Article Improvement, and it includes two section. The first section is called articles in dire need of improvement. It list articles, usually important, that are in very poor shape. The second section is called requested help. Users list an article they request help improving a certain article, which will facilitate collaboration, which is the aim of any WikiProject. There is one article currently listed there, Henrik Lundqvist, here. The goal is to at least get it to Good article status. edit DiacriticsBy Maxim In the past few weeks, there has been quite heated discussion about the use of diacritics in article name. The current guideline is using diacritics in the pages of articles of all player names which require them, but redirects are exempt. edit Task forcesBy Maxim This task force was initiated by Krm500. Its current goal is to improve Henrik Lundqvist to Good or Featured article status. It covers all Swedish clubs, leagues and competitions and associated articles, players and coaches that are Swedish, or have played/coached for a Swedish club, and arenas in Sweden. They plan to eventually operate as a sort of a sub-project, which will have its own articles for creation, ranking importance and quality of articles, and co-ordinate article improvement. Its current members are Krm500, Bamsefar75, and CLAES. This task force was initiated by Bsroiaadn. Its goal is to improve New Jersey Devils to Featured Topic status. Although it currently meets the required article count, the task force wishes to improve it further. Its area of coverage is very similar to the Sweden Ice Hockey task force. Its members are Bsroiaadn, JHMM13, FutureNJGov, Sportskido8, Michael Greiner, JRWalko, and Soxrock. edit Requested ImagesBy Maxim

However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Misplaced Pages:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Misplaced Pages:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. I am voting to de-list, as I believe the article has taken a drastic POV shift toward pure pathology and away from the dual nature - talent+disability - articulated by the leading RS's of the field.
