Brother Louie is a song by German group Modern Talking. It was a hit in 1986 and in 1998.

Brother Louie is the first single of the third album of the band Modern Talking, Ready for Romance. Is the fourth consecutive to top the German Chart, after You're my heart, you're my soul, You can win if you want and Cheri Cheri Lady.

It's the only single who was a hit in the UK Singles Charts, reaching nº 4.

The song is dedicated to Luis Rodriguez, co-producer of Modern Talking's albums.

The song was a gold disc in South Africa, and platinum disc in UK, by sales.

Brother Louie was a hit again in 1998, when Modern Talking reunited as a duet, in the album Back For Good. This was a remix version.

Brother Louie '98 is the second single of Modern Talking's seventh album, Back For Good. It's a new version of world's hit of 1986. The single has four songs, including two rap versions of the song, and a rap and extended version of Cheri Cheri Lady.

In 1999, was released a single with new remixes of Brother Louie, called Brother Louie '99, for British public.

By sales, the single had a gold disc in France.
