Zhi Gang Sha (Traditional Chinese: 以及的) is a world-renowned healer, physician, author, educator, songwriter, and humanitarian.
Born in the Shaanxi province of China, Zhi Gang Sha became interested in healing as a young child. He observed people in his immediate and extended family with a variety of illnesses. People with breathing difficulties, and asthma in particular, caused him great concern. His journey began at the age of six when he asked a Tai Chi master to accept him as a student. When he was ten he was accepted as a student by a master of Qigong. His training in Eastern martial arts continued until he became a master (sifu) in Tai Chi, Qigong, I Ching, Kung Fu, and Feng Shui.
He went on to study at Xi’an Jiaotong University and received an Doctorate in Western medicine. He is also certified in the Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques of acupuncture and moxibustion in China and is a registered acupuncturist in Canada. He also has a Masters Degree in Hospital Administration from the University of the Philippines. He is also a Grandmaster of Dong Yi Gong and Body Space Medicine.
In Beijing, he taught acupuncture and Qigong to foreign physicians for the World Health Organization. He has appeared in two documentaries produced for the Public Broadcasting System: "Qigong: Ancient Chinese Healing for the 21st Century" and "Power Healing with Master Sha." In 2002, he was named Qigong Master of the Year at the Fifth World Congress on Qigong in San Francisco. In 2006, the state of New Jersey presented him with the Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Commission Award.
Sha is the sole 373rd generation lineage-holder of Peng Zu (彭祖) who was the teacher of the founder of Taoism, Lao Zi (老子). For more than 4,300 years, Peng Zu's life-long anti-aging system has been passed down through oral tradition to no more than three lineage holders in each generation.
