Angela Ashford
Wait, I'm a bit confused here. Apparently the Novelization says that, but the end of Apocalypse shows Angela traveling with Alice, Jill, Carlos and L.J. after Alice escapes from Umbrella. So how could Alice have killed Angela? Dengarde ► Complaints 00:29, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
- I meant according to the novelization of Resident Evil: Extinction. Spoilers here: I think it was said that Angela was killed when Alice was under the control of the Umbrella Corporation. -Lindsey8417 00:39, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, I haven't read that yet. Alright then, thanks :) Dengarde ► Complaints 02:57, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Ken Foree Pic
Lindsey, now worries on the picture, I know that whole episode was off kilter, but I gave up trying to keep Kens wiki running....too many users here interfere with what Ken wanted displayed on his wiki.He provided much of the facts on the page and then this user AllHallowsWraith decided he preferred his own version over Kens, so I just gave up. Ken has chosen to no longer support wiki, as have I. Too many fingers in the pie. Nice picture, good luck to you !! DC 19:16, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. I've met Ken a few times, we've exchanged email addresses and a business card. He's a nice guy and I wanted to ask him about what he felt about this whole ordeal, but didn't get much of a chance. It's sad to hear that both of you have stopped supporting wiki, thats a disapointment. DreadCentral, is that like the horror website? Cause I have a shirt :P -Lindsey8417 20:00, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
No, it's DEAD-CENTRAL.COM, I was there before Uncle Creepy and Johnny Butane opened their site, we're actually good friends. Mine is a Romero Fansite, I have the largest group of cast interviews on the web, and a few I haven't posted yet because they're over 3 hour long phone interviews that I'd have to transcribe & am just too lazy to get to... Anyhow drop by any of my sites, I do Kens, Sid Haig & Tony Todd. DC 00:32, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
- Although the similarity in names is sort of confusing, I'll drop by. Gotta love Romero and would love to read the interviews whenever you post them up. I met him for like 5 minutes at Comic Con, and he said he was suprised to see a fan get giddy; apparently people just didn't get like that anymore. -Lindsey8417 00:43, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Mattresidentevil.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Mattresidentevil.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:46, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
Hello
Hello. I saw you deleted the trivia section twice of the article: Resident Evil: Extinction. Please tell me clearly why you did this on my talk page. Thank you.--Vintei 23:58, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
Hello (2)
In your edit summary, you wrote "if editor believes it to be notable enough for a "quotation section" (which isn't encyclopedic at all) please discuss on the talk page". Very little in the Sienna Guillory article strikes me as encyclopedic. There's a clear Misplaced Pages policy against Trivia sections. Looking at Misplaced Pages:Quotations, I see the preference is against stand-alone quotations, so you are perhaps right to delete the Quotations section, but the guidance also says "Quotations are a fundamental attribute of Misplaced Pages. Quotes provide a direct source of information or insight". I think the one in question is rather interesting. You took the same view of another, as you moved it elsewhere. regards, Xn4 04:15, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- I personally don't think that a quotation section is necissary especially when (if you count what the other editor added) the quotations are from sources already in the article and could be incorporated. If you want to put more effort and incorporate them into the article, then go ahead, but having a section about quotations, with only 2 in them, is unneccissary. If you feel so strongly about the quotations and want to add more, then add them to theWikiquote on Sienna Guillory. There are also plenty of quotations on the Sienna Guillory article, I don't think a lack of quotations here is the problem. And about my edits that seem unencyclopedic, please tell me and I'll try to fix them. Thanks -Lindsey8417 04:26, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, Lindsey. Pax, what you say about providing context is correct, so let's leave it there. You'll see that I took back my comment about your contributions, as I'm not usually so bad-tempered and most of them are very good. As you've asked me to say more, it was mostly your spelling I had in mind (recieved... necissary, unneccissary above) which you probably don't need me to tell you about. There's also some material in that article (e.g. "during the ceremony Guillory had worn her grandmother's wedding gown") which to me is interesting, but it isn't really encyclopedic. regards, Xn4 04:43, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I'll be the first to admit that my spelling isn't that wonderful, but its something easily fixed. Also, thank you for coming to me with the problem and not just turning this into some kind of edit war, which was not my intention at all. I'll try and fix the article over the span of the next few days. I think you might be interested in creating the Sienna Guillory article at Wikiquote since essentially, it would be a list of quotations surrounding Ms. Guillory. Anyways, no bad feelings about this all. Thanks. -Lindsey8417 05:24, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

- I've done a little more on this today, but I'll probably leave it there. Please let me know if you want me to look through it again when you're ready. Xn4 20:05, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
- I think its all ready now, the edits about Guillory's family was a really nice find! Anyways, all that is needed is having any words that could be put into British English changed into it. Unless you already went through and checked for any alternate spelling, then I think its fine to alert the reviewer to get GA status. -Lindsey8417 20:52, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
- I'm happy with it, Lindsey. I've had a message from Shudde, I'll point him to this thread. Xn4 09:05, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

Future films
Hi, Lindsey. I wanted to inform you that the notability guidelines for films stipulates that a stand-alone article for a film should only be created when the film enters production. This is because due to the nature of the film industry, announced projects like April Fool's Day (2009 film) stall before entering production and wind up in development hell. When a film enters production, it's of near certainty that it will be completed/released per WP:CRYSTAL. Let me know if you have any questions! —Erik (talk • contrib) - 23:08, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
Paramore
Please uses the discussion page before making edits to the info box. Double check your sources for verifiablity as specified in[REDACTED] guidelines. The consensus from the original discussion was not to add this genre, the consensus can change but it should not be added without discussion. --Neon white 14:24, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

Munn
Good job expanding the Munn article. Gimmetrow 02:14, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks! Just to address the whole favorite TV shows thing as well, I just added it because there isn't an abundance of information on her. So, I'm just adding as much as I can, and people tend to filter out the non-notable things as time goes by (or if she gains more press). -Lindsey8417 03:23, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
Hey there, the ref you used for "However, she was eventually hired because she was more familiar with electronics" doesn't seem to work, unless it's in the text in the image there. If so, the cite is a bit unclear. If not, do you recall where you read that bit? Gimmetrow 00:14, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, its in the text on the image. I'm using that until I can actually get a scan of the article in a HQ version, or I just might leave it as that, then clarify that the text is in the image. -Lindsey8417 00:17, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Sienna Guillory image
Congratulations on your efforts... I hesitate to say this, but it's a very strange picture! Perhaps if you were to write to SG and draw her attention to it, she might provide a better one and donate it! Xn4 01:38, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
- I know! But its the best free image I was able to find. I emailed quite a few sources and that was the only one that gave me a reply (after a month or so wait as well). For now, its good, but I wouldn't know how to contact Sienna herself to get any image. -Lindsey8417 01:42, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Find the citation YOURSELf, plese
I'm tired of gettin re-edits and especially after the time I spent on the DVD/Blueray of Extinction, Now, remember, your the pretty little expert, so instead of deleting key points and claiming, citation needed, cite it yourself. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gurrr (talk • contribs) 01:55, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
- I understand that, but you just disregarded what I was adding, and although you do do a great job of editing, I would hope that not all you see without citations would be deleted, it sucks looking up information, such as Dvd realease info and getting a little excerpt because someone else on Wiki couldn't look up the page and instead deletes it.--Gurrr 04:04, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
- What I meant is I think Misplaced Pages would be better off with more information than less, and people who would like that, have nothing to show for it compared to the types of non shit givers on other articles, so there has got to be some level of tolerance. I will look for the citation and fix the problem, because that is the requirment of the site. By the way I'm 16 too, but I'm an actor, and not thT much into horror. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gurrr (talk • contribs) 05:59, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

Jaime King GA on hold
I made a list of things that can be done on the article talk page. --AnonEMouse 20:03, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- Well done! Jaime King has been made a Misplaced Pages:Good article. I'd like to help out with the Flickr image requests if I could - could you specify which users you already asked, and we can divide the other ones between us, and ask in parallel? --AnonEMouse 20:53, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

- Ooh. You have picked the best ones. I'll start with (or do you think is better?) by Clare & Dave, that's probably the only really good ones left, unfortunately. The others are all questionable:

- and by wildleeesq aren't posed perfectly
- by medialife requires cropping
- by nina marie is only half her face
- by rjshelley is not what she normally looks like
- by KellyAponte is a difficult to crop fan hug shot
- and by skmanor would be great context shots, but seem to be professional photos by the user, so will probably not be released from copyright.
- I guess we can work on those as a last resort. --AnonEMouse 17:39, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
- I prefer the second image by Clare & Dave, because she's smiling, but either one will work. I like the by Medialife, and the fan shot by KellyAponte might work if we can crop and color out the fan/background (much like they did with the picture of Angelina Jolie in the infobox - although I'm sure I can make it a little neater and nicer looking). I'm going to ask Medialife and KellyAponte and see where I get. -Lindsey8417 (talk) 02:36, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
- Mixed results - Clare wrote back saying she'd be glad to change the license, but hasn't; I'm reiterating the request, and we'll see. --AnonEMouse 17:10, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Brian Miller of Medialife replied and changed the license of the image. He also sent me an email stating the change in license and who to credit. So, I'm going to go ahead and crop/upload the image. If Clare replies, then it would probably be better to use that image for the infobox, however, until then, the one by Miller should suffice. -Lindsey8417 (talk) 06:35, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- My compliments, it looks quite good in the article, better than I thought it would. If Clare does come through, we may want to put her photo by the Pearl Harbor text, since that's presumably what she looked like in that movie. If not, we're pretty good as is. Well done. --AnonEMouse 20:52, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

- Mixed results - Clare wrote back saying she'd be glad to change the license, but hasn't; I'm reiterating the request, and we'll see. --AnonEMouse 17:10, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- I guess we can work on those as a last resort. --AnonEMouse 17:39, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
Got it! I put the full image in the Pearl Harbor section in the article (and added a bit to the other image description on Commons). Questions:
- Do you think it should be cropped, to only show her face, or is the fact that she is being interviewed, presumably about her role in the movie, interesting?
- It looks rather small compared to the other images in the article, though I put it in the default "thumb" size. Should it be bigger, or the other images smaller?
- Do you think it is fair to say that she is in makeup as her character in the movie? (It doesn't look like her standard appearance, and she does look vaguely 1940-ish, but I haven't seen the film.)
--AnonEMouse 15:25, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- :D Great! I just saw the addition to the article. Although I don't think the interviewer mic or the fact that she's being interviewed is an interesting addition, I think if it was cropped out it might look awkward - image size wise, and if it were to show only her face, I think it would look strange having her facing in a right direction (but I'm sure that could just be fixed by flipping the image). Your thoughts? And I don't believe she was in character, but many of the cast showed up in the whole Hawaiian themed clothes with the leis. The mention that the premiere was in Hawaii is probably enough. Also, I'm going to go ahead and make the Sin City image smaller, and the description a but shorter anyways. -Lindsey8417 (talk) 16:23, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- Looks fine; you're the expert, I'm merely a drive-by contributor. :-) --AnonEMouse 18:17, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Japan
Are you Japanese? Tech43 (talk) 05:46, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- No, I'm half Vietnamese and half Chinese, raised by a partially Japanese/Caucasian/Mexican step family. Its quite complicated, I'd just like to think of myself as... American. Why? -Lindsey8417 (talk) 05:51, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
Just curious. Read my userpage, and you will see why i ask weird questions. You see, I love California, and Japan, and i was just wondering. Also, sign my autograph book. That's actually the main reason why i asked. Great vandal reverting by the way. Tech43 (talk) 05:53, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Paramore
Although the members met in 2002. The official history says they formed in 2004, likely referring to the first use of the name. My opinion is that we should use this date. --neonwhite user page talk 23:40, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- Alright then, as the official history says 2004, then we should. I was going by 2002, when they met as the technical time they had formed, but I'll go ahead and change that in the article and then cite that as well. As far as the 'Years Active' section in the infobox, I believe it should stay as 2002, but what do you think? Sorry for the trouble. -Lindsey8417 (talk) 01:40, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'm unsure on the matter, there isn't any definite criteria for when a band can be said to have formed. So both are probably correct. The reason i favoured the official date is that it can be cited and that might avoid the constant fiddling with it that has happened in the past. Another problem is the self-published source, i think it might be ok as a self-published source in an article about themselves, it does seem like a press release and may be 'unduly self-serving' but for this particular point i doubt it matters. --neonwhite user page talk 17:08, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Despite sounding like a press release, and using a bit of favorable words towards the band, I also doubt it really matters. It's merely cited for the band's year of formation, so that shouldn't play too much into problems. So, inbofox will remain 2002, and 2004 as the date mentioned in the intro and article. -Lindsey8417 (talk) 06:38, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Tips for improvement
As you know, I have had a tumultuous time on this site, espicially in the last week. Though you likely never want to talk to me again, what are some tips for improvement on this community from you personally? Also, I want to apologize for all Asian-related edits and messages I have made to you in the past. I feel that what I did was wrong and very un called for. Also, I will never edit your user page again. I sincerely hope you will accept my apology, since you seem to be a pretty nice person. Tech43 (talk) 06:44, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I accept the apology. So, if we're on good terms now, then everything should be fine. I think that perhaps you should take a look at Misplaced Pages:Five pillars. Essentially, Misplaced Pages is an online encyclopedia, and I try to keep it apart from using it like a social networking site (because it shouldn't be used as one). -Lindsey8417 (talk) 10:00, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Interest?
You haven't taken much of an interest in WP: space yet, but I've been meaning to ask if you were interested in being an admin sometime in the future? And for the present, if you're interested in the new rollback button? Gimmetrow 08:35, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Are talking about WP:Space here? You're right that I haven't been editing much (or at all really) in that scope, mainly because I don't know much about the subject of the project. So, as far as being an admin in the future, I wouldn't think I would do a very good job - unless being an admin involves more maintaining rather than educated editing in the subject. Also, a new rollback button in VP? -Lindsey8417 (talk) 18:35, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- By WP: space I meant pages beginning with "Misplaced Pages:" Admins often have an interest in some procedure (like speedy deletion, or image copyrights) and help with its maintenance. Rollback is a button in edit histories and diffs. Admins have access to it, and it's newly-offered to non-admins. It allows fast reverts of vandalism. (It's not supposed to be used for non-vandal reverts.) Check the link at the top of your watchlist. Gimmetrow 21:10, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I hadn't really thought of ever becoming an admin, though it is a nice thought and a lot of responsibility. I know there's a lengthy process you'd have to go through, and I'd be afraid I couldn't pass. But I guess I would be interested in the future. About the rollback, I wasn't even aware there was one. I've been using VP and TW, but the new one (I just checked it out a bit ago) might be something I'll try. Any specific reasons you ask? -Lindsey8417 (talk) 00:01, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- I guess rollback is turning into a controversy. I just noticed you do a fair amount of vandal revert and could benefit from it. Regarding admin, yes, I doubt you could pass WP:RFA without a couple hundred edits in[REDACTED] space, but I think you would be a good admin, if you had the interest. Gimmetrow 04:08, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- I think I could and I'll probably apply in the next day or so, but what's the issue concerning it? Controversy wise, I mean, what is causing a dispute? People not using for vandal removal? Well, thanks for the nice words about possible adminship, and in the future I'll take a better look when I have more WP space edits in the WP: space - might do some things in WP:AFD or whatnot. -Lindsey8417 (talk) 04:51, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- It came up rather as a surprise, so procedure is still evolving. The poll on he topic was at 66% for, so a dev turned it on. A previous poll had also been at 66%, and closed as no consensus. There seems to be a dispute over what's different now. Also, some thought that to avoid bureaucracy, everyone should have access to it automatically when can edit semi-protected pages and move pages. Gimmetrow 07:06, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, well that's unexpected. We'll have to see how this turns out. I'm not sure if I want to even involve myself quite yet, but the rollback would be a nice feature regardless. Thanks for informing me. -Lindsey8417 (talk) 08:54, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Isaacs Tyrant.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Isaacs Tyrant.jpg.
Thank you. BJBot (talk) 04:40, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Edible City Image
Hi Lindsey,
I have a question. How do I add a Copyright tag to the Edible City image. It was created by me and I don't mind others using it but not for commercial purposes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ediblecity (talk) 05:15, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
- When you uploaded the image, there was a drop down menu titled "license" and from there you could have selected with license you wanted to release the image under. Other wise, I would add something like {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to the page by clicking the edit and then putting somewhere in the space. -Lindsey8417 (talk) 06:15, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
Rollback
Hello Lindsey8417, I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, you can be trusted to use rollback correctly by using it for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Misplaced Pages:New admin school/Rollback and Misplaced Pages:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck. Acalamari 18:23, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, wow, thanks! I'll use it and not abuse it :D -02:34, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- You're welcome. :) I'm sure you'll use it well. Acalamari 03:16, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

GA review of Milla Jovovich
Hi, Lindsey, I jumped on another of your articles up for GAN, I hope that's all right. I'm truly impressed with your hard work on this one, and I'm looking forward to passing it. I left a list of comments and suggestions on the talk page, so again, just let me know when they've been taken care of and I'll give it my seal of approval. Have you considered taking this one to FAC at some point? With a little work it would be a great addition! María (habla conmigo) 17:06, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you so much! I really appreciate the kind words and your willingness to review (it is quite a lengthy article after all). I'll get to the review comments as soon as I can today, and some during the week, but I suppose it depends on my homework load. I have thought about FAC; the article is the longest one I've re-written and I'm hoping to take it there. One day! -Lindsey8417 (talk) 22:28, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Sherimoon1000.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Sherimoon1000.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Misplaced Pages:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Misplaced Pages:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 05:22, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Zitagorog.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Zitagorog.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Misplaced Pages constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box.
