Brother Louie is the first single of the third album of the German band Modern Talking, Ready for Romance. It is the fourth consecutive to top the German Chart, after You're my heart, you're my soul, You can win if you want and Cheri Cheri Lady. It was a hit in 1986 and its remix in 1998.

Brother Louie '98 is the second single of Modern Talking's seventh album, Back For Good. It is a new version of world's hit of 1986. The single has four songs, including two rap versions of the song, and a rap and extended version of Cheri Cheri Lady.
In 1999, was released a single with new remixes of Brother Louie, called Brother Louie '99, for the British public.
By sales, the single had a gold disc in France.
