There once lived a little boy named Kyle. At the age of 8 he was already beginning to think of the world around him, but little did he know that there was much more to life. One day, Kyle was going to have a picnic with his big brother Jake. Jake was 14, and he was ordered to take his little brother for a picnic that evening because things at home were kind of stressful. So they were in the middle of eating their sandwiches when a man walked up, and asked if he could sit and eat his lunch with them for he had no one else to sit with. He said, “The name’s Frank.” Then he smiled and shook Jake’s hand. Jake introduced himself and his brother. Then they were all sitting under a big tree eating their meals when Kyle asked, “How was this tree made?” Jake answered, “ Well, you take a seed and plant it” Kyle interups, “No, I mean, how did it become what it is? Who made it the way it is? Someone must’ve made it like that, just like how someone came up with choclate or music.” Jake says, “Well, I don’t quite know” Jake looks down trying to think of the answer when Frank says, “Ah, you mean God? He is the one who made everything the way it is, so specific in detail, and perfect in every little way.” “God?” says Kyle. “Why yes, God.” Says Frank again. “God once created the Heavens and the Earth. He created the first man, Adam, who sinned and from then of sin multiplied.” “That’s so cool! I wish I could do that!” says Kyle. Jake says, “Well, then what happened from then? There has to be more to the story.” Frank says, “Ah, Yes boy, there is. There was once a man named Abraham, he was to spread God’s Word to the world. Abraham then has a son, named Isaac. Isaac has two sons named Esau and Jacob. Jacob has 12 sons, but, one very inportant son was named Joseph. He was sold as a slave to Egypians. God then made him a great leader. Then after he died the Hebrew people were delivered out of four-hundred years of slavery. And during that time a little baby boy was floating down a river waiting to be saved, while all other Hebrew babies were to be killed for the Hebrew people were becoming to over populate the Egyptians. The Pharoah’s Daughter found him and kept him as her own, she named him Moses. God then raised him up to be the spokesman to the Pharoh, but the Pharoh did not listen to what he had to say, then God sends ten plagues upon Egypt to convince the Pharoh to let the Hebrew people go. Finally the Pharoh couldn’t take it anymore and let them go free. Moses leads his people out of Egypt and to a mountain, I blieve I recall it being named Mount. Siani. There, God gave Moses ten commandments for us to follow. After Moses dies, God picked a man named Joshua to lead. Joshua’s first challenge was to cross a river. God parted the river and allowed for Joshua and His people to cross. A man named Samson was chosen as a Judge to govern for four-hundred years. And a book called Judges records the darkest period in history. Then David became the greatest king in the new monarchy. David dies and a civil war erupts and they speperate into ten tribes called Israel. Israel gets conquered by foreign contries and is sentenced a seventy year period of being exiled. Then they return to jerusalem to rebuild everything. Then there is a time where there is a four hundred year period of silence. God then gives a gift to a girl named Mary, she has a son named Jesus, God’s son. Jesus could heal people, if you were blind all he had to do was touch you and you’d beable to see again! Jesus was a very special man. God sent Him down to this world to die for our sins. He was crusified. Then after that, a man named Peter is used by God to establish the Church, which was God’s next plan for man. Then Church was into the Roman Empire. Paul becomes the first Christian Missionary. Paul was exicutted because of him searching and going to new places to spread God’s Word to anyone who didn’t know who He was yet. And that Leaves us to here. Now we are waiting to see what will happen in the future.” Kyle sat there with jake, both of them thinking about the stories Frank had just told them about when Jake says, “You said some book talks about it being dark or something right?” “Yes, I did, The book of Judges records the darkest time period of it.” Says Frank. “But where can I find this book?” asked Jake, Frank says “In a big book called the Bible.” Jake and Kyle decide to leave a go find there mother and tell her about the stories the man had just told them. They then each get there own Bible and started going to Church every Sunday. Soon Jake was all grown up and he set off to be a missionary, while Kyle keeps his mind set to his goals and focuses more on God’s Word. Kyle finally gets old enough and he becomes a very inportant man, he became the president of the United States. He met his goals and is now living his life to the fullest. And that is where this story ends. | |||
