Keep the Faith

Mr. Shabazz: Would that the haters could learn the beauty of the true faith that endures: the faith in the potential of man to increase peace and achieve a small measure of holiness in our brief lives. I cannot agree with all of your positions on Zionism, but I share your beliefs and pray that these ideals of peace can someday come to fruition. I was the only 'caucasian' to join the Black Law Students Association in my first few weeks at law school; and was the organizer of the first public gathering in the Bronx to deliberately include a celebration of all of the diverse cultures that live there. We all have work to do. It's good to discover so many others doing that good work. Keep the faith!

It's obvious from Yvonne Ridley's own comments and the information on her page that she is an Islamist. She praises the beslan school seige? she defends zarqawi? How is that not Islamist? The reference is her own mouth

Anthony Kennedy, though, that was just vandalism, no contest there —Preceding unsigned comment added by Heatsketch (talkcontribs) 22:26, June 16, 2008

List of African-American porn stars

Oops... that was a lapse on my part. I reverted the second IP because I figured that "obsession" is less likely to be the name of a porn star than "Michele Obama"... but I should have checked who the person was first. Thanks for the correction! :) Gail (talk) 16:41, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

And turns out that Obsession is an African-American/Caucasian porn star after all... Gail (talk) 16:43, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Relevant citation?

I would like another editor to review this edit: is this quote indeed "completely out of context" and has no place in that article? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 18:50, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Thank you, I will do just that. I could use another opinion on what I consider is weaseling here (the issue is explained on talk).--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 20:57, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Biased Edits and Personal Attacks

Hi Malik. This user Fclass is just vandalising any article which mentions anyone with African American heritage and another. Removing everything that mentions the other race. I'm not sure how to have him blocked nor do I have the time at the moment to figure it out. He's determined that anybody he would consider black be only considered that despite the mention of their other races being cited by reliable sources. He also keeps accusing me of not being proud of my heritage and stuff. Please help.Mcelite (talk) 01:57, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

"Editorial" Revision

I am confused by the revision of the page where the link between the number 6 million and Yiddish Book Center marketing is explicated. Is the number not the number generally used to estimate the number of Jews murdered? I believe making these links clear is important in the understanding of a Jewish cultural orgainization. Perhaps simply stating the number link would be read as more neutral:

An amount that has a particular resonance in its to the Holocaust. Lansky further emphasized this number in a 2008 "urgently appeal" to the membership that "we have just six weeks to raise $6 million!"--Libhober (talk) 20:05, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

I think the quote about "raising the 6 million" from the organization's own site is a pretty reliable source and not original research. In recent speaking engagements, their director has made these relations even more explicit, but the printed press release is the only textual proof.--Libhober (talk) 19:55, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

Why did you remove the DNC reference?

This isn't a "crystal ball" theory, it's fact. that's when he's accepting the nomination —Preceding unsigned comment added by Josh cavan (talkcontribs) 05:20, 19 June 2008

No problem. Thanks! (UTC)

Betty Shabazz

Hi. I was the one who edited "upper middle class" to "upper class" in the Betty Shabazz article, although I was not logged in at the time. Middle class isn't an acurate way to describe this:"They led sheltered, comfortable,-------- lives, complete with the luxury of housekeepers, chauffeured cars, exclusive social clubs, and expensive, predominantly white private schools, private tutors and summer camps." Middle class people do not have housekeepers, chauffeurs, or memberships at exclusive social clubs. I've left your edit, since I'm pretty new here, but I wanted to ask you why you thought middle class was the appropriate term. Eppythatcher (talk) 15:33, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

African American culture GA Sweeps Review: On Hold

As part of the WikiProject Good Articles, we're doing sweeps to go over all of the current GAs and see if they still meet the GA criteria and I'm specifically going over all of the "Culture and Society" articles. I have reviewed African American culture and believe the article currently meets the majority of the criteria and should remain listed as a Good article. In reviewing the article, I have found there are some issues that may need to be addressed, and I'll leave the article on hold for seven days for them to be fixed. I have left this message on your talk page since you have significantly edited the article (based on using this article history tool). Please consider helping address the several points that I listed on the talk page of the article, which shouldn't take too long to fix with the assistance of multiple editors. I have also left messages on the talk pages for other editors and related WikiProjects to spread the workload around some. If you have any questions, let me know on my talk page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. --Nehrams2020 (talk) 07:57, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

I Understand Your Concern, BUT THE SOURCE DOES SAY THAT HE MET WITH OTHER CIVIL RIGHTS ACTIVISTS AT THE HIGHLANDER FOLK SCHOOL

White nationalist pig Jared Tayler today has tried to spread propaganda ABOUT THIS in his American Renaissance News Page. If we continue to hide this information, WE MAY VERY WELL ENCOURAGE MORE PEOPLE TO JOIN WHITE NATIONALIST GROUPS WORLDWIDE. I am trying to say that this didn't prove King was a Communist BECAUSE IT WAS HIS MEMPHIS STOP. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kevin j (talkcontribs) 23:00, June 24, 2008 (UTC)

Sir, YOU'RE WRONG. The article did say that the Georgia Communist education center tried to label King's ties with the Highland Folk Center as PROOF HE A COMMUNIST. If we don't display these facts, WE MAY VERY WELL ENCOURAGE MORE INFLUENCE OF JARED TAYLOR'S ACCUSATIONS. You are not respecting the neutral point of view or good faith policies. If we right it like the way I did, by including arguments against Taylor's propanganda by saying that a jury was never able to prove Horton was a Communist, WE CAN VERY WELL SNUB TAYLOR'S INFLUENCE.Kevin j (talk) 16:48, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

I see that he is a friend of yours and you are trying to rewrite history, but stop vandalizng my posts or we will have to get a third party involved. I am adding comments and quotes that are cited in The Miami Herald. Just cause it is not favorable to him, does not mean you can remove them. You are not GOD. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.32.145.138 (talk) 14:19, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Nerdstuff

Hey man, I am working on starting my own wiki on wikia (Nerdstuff.wikia.blahblahblah) And it will concern all things interesting to the chronically bored. Random facts, horrible movies, b celebrities, etc. And in the recruiting process of said wiki, I came across you by chance. And I was wondering if you had the guts to be a part of NerdStuffWiki. Decide and email me at tom_null2005@yahoo.com --66.190.129.112 (talk) 05:45, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

Fclass

Hi, I wonder if you know if anything can be done about "24.185.49.151" aka "Fclass". He/she has deleted the post on the African American talk page that he/she says has "racist overtones" at least 5 or 6 times! I have completely run out of "asume good faith" with this person, I think he/she should be blocked/banned for repeated deliberate vandalism, but I don't know how to go about it. Roger (talk) 11:38, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

Thanks! Roger (talk) 18:02, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

New Antisemitism

I suggested the changes I made and no one objected. If one can't cite examples of NAS and only discuss at a theoretical level then the page will have no meaningful content. Are you related to Malik Zulu Shabazz?

Take care and have a nice day. jonathan Telaviv1 (talk) 08:01, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Naomi Klein

Howdy, I don't mean to be rude, or incite an edit war or something childish, but why exactly was my characterization of Mrs. Klein removed? I believe the source (a pro-socialist website) was reliable, and the information was objective. But I am new to Misplaced Pages. Perhaps you could enlighten me. Thanks!!! 24.143.239.119 (talk) 06:52, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Care to even acknowledge my existence? Ah, well. Even Misplaced Pages can't be democratic. You and I both know that we if we can't (or don't) have a civil discussion about this now, I'll just go back and undo your edit in a few days, and you'll pounce on me and call me a vandal. Again, no hard feelings, I'm sure you get this kinda thing a lot, I just think my sources were objective, and my classification is true. 24.143.239.119 (talk) 05:10, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Wikipedian Survey

Hello,

My name is Brenton Stewart. I am an African American, doctoral student at the University of Wisconsin- Madison in Library & Information Studies. Currently I am conducting a study on the motivational factors of African American Wikipedians. I am asking for your help by participating in this short online survey which will take take approximately 5 minutes to complete. Please feel free to distribute to other Black Wikipedians. The survey will be available from Tuesday July 1, 2008 until Tuesday August 5, 2008. Thank you so much for your participation.

Thank you for the link Malik Shabazz. I appreciate it and it was quite interesting. I wish I could use it to improve the black indian article. Once again thank you that made my day. =) Mcelite (talk) 00:21, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

Please could you explain why you removed the term gentile as regards Rocker on the list of Jewish anarchists. In what way was Rocker not a gentile?Harrypotter (talk) 00:11, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Hebrew Israelites

You information you have for Hebrew Israelites is not accurate , the reason it not accurate is all Hebrew Israelites recognize a list of 12 tribes most are Latin and Indian. They teach this as a main part of their beleif, so why would you not consider that? Is it because you insist on referring to them as BLACK Hebrew Israelites. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.93.3.84 (talk) 06:05, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
