Paul Lynde (June 13, 1926 Mount Vernon, Ohio - January 10, 1982 Beverly Hills, California) was an American comedian and actor.
Lynde was the center square on the Hollywood Squares, played Uncle Arthur in Bewitched and was the befuddled father in Bye Bye Birdie. He provided voices in a variety of animated cartoons, including that of Templeton the Rat in the film Charlotte's Web and Sylvester Sneakly in the television series The Perils of Penelope Pitstop.
