This is a comprehensive listing of all official recordings by Eminem , an American rapper . He has released five studio albums , one soundtrack , one compilation , one extended play , three video albums, and twenty four singles on Web Entertainment and Interscope Records , along its subsidiaries Aftermath Entertainment and Shady Records . Music videos and collaborations are also included.
After signing with Aftermath, Eminem released his commercial début album The Slim Shady LP in 1999, which produced the hit single "My Name Is " and the top five single "Guilty Conscience ". In 2000, he released his following studio album The Marshall Mathers LP , which sold 1.76 million copies in its first week, breaking the records as the fastest-selling hip hop album of all-time as the fastest-selling solo album in the United States. It was the third best-selling record of the year in the United States and produced three top ten singles: "The Real Slim Shady ", "The Way I Am " and "Stan ". In the same year, he was granted his own imprint label Shady Records .
In 2002, Eminem's fourth album The Eminem Show debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and was the highest selling album in the United States of the year. Seven singles were released, with the lead single "Without Me " reaching the top spot in more than 10 countries worldwide. In the same year, for the first time Eminem reached the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 with the song "Lose Yourself " from the soundtrack of the film 8 Mile .
In 2004, Encore became Eminem's third consecutive studio album to reach number one on the Billboard 200 charts, with two singles, "Just Lose It " and "Like Toy Soldiers ", to top the UK Singles Chart and another two, "Mockingbird " and "Ass like That " reaching the number four position in the United Kingdom.
Eminem's sixth studio album is expected to be released during the fourth quarter of 2008.
