'''Colonel Rachel Parker''' (was a '''Captain''' in '']'') is a ] and the main female protagonist and a support/secondary character in '']''.

==History==
===Early History & Career===
Parker was born the daughter of a three-star general of the British Army, and her father was restationed too often for Parker to ever know what a home was. The lifestyle was too much for her mother to bear; she left when Parker was six. Parker became inseparable from her father.

Despite her desire to join him in the military, he steered her toward a university education. Her eagerness to impress him led her all the way to the theoretical physics department at Oxford. Before Parker could graduate, her father offered her the job she always wanted with British Army Intelligence. The Chimeran threat was just becoming known in British Intelligence circles, and he needed someone he could trust to be a liaison for the military.

Initially serving as an intelligence operator, Parker and her father worked closely together at Central Command in London, until the Chimera invaded England and attacked the base. Parker's father died helping her escape.

With the deaths of the British Armed Forces' hierarchy; Parker, only a Captain at the time, became head of the British Intelligence Corps, and de-facto head of the British Resistance. At her direction, the Corps, who were given tacit control of the Royal Marine Commandos; the de-facto unit leader now Lieutenant Stephen Cartwright, ordered the Commandos in a guerilla campaign against the Chimera.

Parker had since continued to serve on the front lines in the war against the Chimera; her brilliance at collecting and interpreting strategic intelligence is the only weapon that hasn't failed against them. Parker has since long since become accustomed to losing everything she's ever cared for, but wants to believe the war against the Chimera can still be won, and found herself willing to support long shots.

===Resistance: Fall of Man===
Parker serves as narrator of the story, as well as telling the player certain early events of the Chimeran War and present conflicts.

Parker convinced the isolationist United States government to accept a deal; send tanks, supplies and 12000 American reinforcements to liberate Britain, in exchange for the Resistance turning over a "secret weapon" which they could never produce themselves. Parker was commanding the convoy squad team at the team, and they were ambushed in Manchester on their way to rendezvous with the Americans. Captured, alive and uninfected, Parker was taken to the conversion center in Grimsby, where she was spared from infection and released by U.S. Army Ranger Sergeant ], the sole-remaining survivor of the American reinforcements (who Parker has learned were wiped out upon landing). Parker immediately could sense Hale was infected with the virus (due to his gold-coloured eyes).

Escaping, Parker met up with Hale upon his escape from the center and the two led operations in Manchester (where Parker coordinated the retrieval mission for the "secret weapon" with Hale) and Nottingham. They then returned to the Resistance's activity hub at Northern Command, only to find the base overrun and gutted by the Chimera. Parker and her squad were separated from Hale, but they all escaped from the base. As it turned out, the "secret weapon" was really an "Angel"; a Chimeran leader unit that was somehow successfully captured by Parker and her intelligence squad. It was stored in a customized containment cell unit that Parker was confident would jam the Angel's telepathic abilities and leave it unable to summon rescue. This wasn't the case. Hale kills the Angel before rejoining Parker.

In following battles, Parker directed missions with Hale serving on the ground, providing intelligence and warnings whenever possible.

After Southern Command, the last Resistance command base and Chimera-free territory in England, was destroyed, Parker and the other surviving soldiers (now halved from the loss of SC) gathered up and fled to Cardiff. This would be the last time she saw Hale.

Hale kept in contact via. radio, informing Parker of his progress to hunt down and destroy the source of the Chimera. Eventually, Parker was convinced by Hale to launch a final desperate attack, in collaboration with fresh American reinforcements, on the Chimera's main tower in London. Hale personally made sure the assault succeeded by destroying the Tower's reactor and causing it to explode. Parker refused to leave Hale behind and ordered the VTOL pilot to remain, though the pilot was forced to narrowly fly them away before the Tower was destroyed in a massive explosion. This caused a chain reaction that destroyed the entire Tower network, killing all the Angels throughout Britiain and the remaining Chimera, unable to survive without the Angels' presence, all died within minutes

In the days that followed, Parker lead reconstruction efforts throughout Britain, attempting to salvage and reverse-engineer the complex Chimeran technologies found in the wreckage of the Towers; by extension deciphering the deepening mysteries of the Chimera's origins, and find civilian survivors in the rural areas of Britain.

The Americans officially list Hale, whose body was never recovered, as Killed In Action. Parker remains unconvinced, believing Hale may have managed to survive somehow, and even believed she heard him on the radio at one point.

===Resistance 2===
Parker does not actually appear in '']'', but she makes several cameo appearances, primarily in the co-op campaign mode.

It was confirmed the United Kingdom was cleared of all Chimeran forces, and in little more than a year, Parker, promoted to Colonel and made head of all British Armed Forces active in the United Kingdom, redeployed most British military forces after the Chimeran threat was eradicated in Britain, and had research conducted into Gray Tech and Chimeran nuclear reactor technology. Parker is also leading the war effort against the Chimera in Europe, scoring many victories against both the Chimera and their "Cloven" allies.

When the research base at Axbridge, which was being used to conduct the research, was attacked by Chimera in a strategic attempt to divert military forces from further advancement in the European conflict theater, Parker sent out an emergency request for assistance to the Special Research Projects Administration ("SRPA"), as their own forces were too weak (due to redeployment) to repel the invaders on their own. A special operations detachment team; code-named "Spectre" under the command of Lieutenant David LaSalle, was sent to eliminate the hostile forces in Axbridge. Later, the Chimera used dropships to recapture Bracknell, and when they began amassing forces within the old Chimeran base to launch a border attack across England, Parker requested additional SRPA support to hold off the enemy forces in Bracknell and prevent the Chimera from regaining a foothold within the UK. Spectre once again saved the day.

Parker later sent a letter to SRPA's Director of Advanced Tactical Operations and the Acting-Director of Tactical Operations; Major Richard Blake, at SRPA-3 Defensive Station. In it's contents, Parker, again, expressed her sincere gratitude for SRPA's assistance in battling the incursions at Axbridge and Bracknell, and requested to extend her heartfelt thanks to the members of Spectre Team; whose bravery and exemplary skill saved hundreds of British lives. Parker then discussed the latest war situations, and then asked a personal favor of Blake: Parker has received word a man serving under Blake's command fought in Operation: Deliverance (the Battle of London). Parker knew this could only be Hale, and implored Blake to deliver the sealed envelope attached to the letter to Hale.

These letters were kept in Intel Document 7, and was retrieved by Hale. Currently, the personal letter's contents are unknown.

===Resistance: Retribution===
Parker is set to appear in '']''.
