Thanks for ] about ]. I’m still skeptical, but I don’t feel strongly about it. I’ll wait and see what you come up with. I tend to rather dislike Misplaced Pages entries that are merely dictionary definitions or entries that only restate the title. You may observe that in the article in question, one could replace the word ''keg'' with, perhaps, ''margarita'', ''martini'', ''wine'', or any number of other beverages and the definition would still be perfectly correct. ♠] 04:50, 3 November 2005 (UTC)

AWA Super Challenge

Ive been trying to find out info on an angle used by the AWA during its last gasp. It was someting like the 'super team challenge' or something. The whole promotion was divided into 3 teams and competed for a million bucks. I think Zbysko had a team and Sgt Slaughter had one too. Do you remember this? Youngamerican 5 July 2005 13:38 (UTC)

  • Yes, I remember that. I did a google search and found it under "AWA Team Challenge Series". It lasted from October 1, 1989 until August 11, 1990. It was Zbysko, Slaughter, Baron Von Raschke and Col. DeBeers who headed the teams. Zbysko's "Larry's Legends" team won with 56 points. "Baron's Blitzers" was second with 51 and "Slaughter's Snipers" & "DeBeers' Diamondcutters" tied at third with 48 points. Here is a link to much of the AWA's special events & where I found this info:

Hope this helps!

By looking at your user page, I get the impression that you live in West Virginia. I live in Cross Lanes just outside of Charleston. Cool to meet a fellow West Virginian on Misplaced Pages if that is where you live.

How to get to Yeager Scholars...

You actually showed up on my watchlist after an Antioch College edit, and I clicked on your username because you had an edit summary (I love edit summaries), and then I wanted to know what a Yeager Scholar was... yep, that was my route.

Also, very nice work on the hot dog variations. I like them Chicago-style myself. Philthecow 20:35, July 11, 2005 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:Votes for deletion/Removal from the Order of Canada

I am not sure if anyone told you, but the nominator of the article for merging retracted his vote, changing it to keep. For some odd reason, the VFD is still up. I wish to ask you if you want to relook at the article and see if you wish to change your vote based on the expansion of the article. Thank you. Zscout370 (Sound Off) 08:26, 26 July 2005 (UTC)

Robert Byrd Page

Thanks for the compromise on the Robert Byrd page re: his recent remarks comparing the "jungles of Africa" to American inner cities. I think your context is appropriate and much better than some of the knee-jerk whitewashing/erasing of Byrd's past that other editors have tried to impose on the entry. Good show.

Janelle Pierzina

I'm not sure if you know or not, but just in case, I thought I would mention the vote-for-deletion has restarted from scratch at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Janelle Pierzina 2. Last time your vote was discounted by the admin because you didn't state a reason for the vote. This new vote is an opportunity to have your vote count, if you wish. I hope you choose to participate. Thanks. --rob 14:36, 10 September 2005 (UTC)

Template:WV Highways

Template:WV Highways was started by some of in the state, and we have been working on it. A user from California has been pushing for it to be deleted. He wants it similar to California, WV is not CA. Can we get some support to keep from a fellow WVer?

Body Parts slang

This seems to have been a definite Keep. Parts of it in the beginning are common knowledge, altough you are right...the rest does drify of into NOR and random info. This really needs to be removed as well, but it passe AfD....oh well. Still the rest of the article is not as bad as the Body Part Slang article.Voice of All 14:22, 25 October 2005 (UTC)

Weetabix

Are you sure that the Weetabix sold in the US is organic? The UK version is not by default organic (otherwise, they'd have (a) publicised the fact and (b) wouldn't sell a separate "organic" variant). Fourohfour 19:34, 26 October 2005 (UTC)

CFD

You have said on CFD for Cat:Indian cheeses that you are voting keep in the hope that it will be expanded. Well. I'm an Indian and I can assure you that there are no other Indian cheeses, so maybe you would like to reconsider your vote.--May the Force be with you!
