As far as I can tell, Lee doesn't comment on his "Jewishness" or his Latvian ancestry, for that matter, in any of his work. As a person of Jewish descent myself, I'm quesy about any identification of sombody as a "Jew." I can't tell if the author is a defender or a hater.
