==Mundilfari topic ban==
Following discussion at ] you imposed a topic ban on ]. was an unambiguous breach of the ban. I have reverted that edit and warned the user. I have also reset the time limit before the user can apply for a review of the ban, in accordance with the policy on ]. My relevant edits are and . ::I think the issue is that the closure did not consider any penalty when it was logged on Editing Restrictions. Didn't every user who contributed favour a bock for infringement? This editor is trying the community's boundaries and patience. His actions are clearly vandalism after a final warning, too. And the 3 RR block was never actually put back. ] (]) 10:34, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

:I have reverted my actions described above, and imposed a one week block. I regard this as minimal, considering that the editor has made it clear they have no intention of co-operating. If the problem continues I would be willing to consider an indefinite block. ] (]) 10:55, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for keeping me in the loop on this topic. Since the user in question couldn't manage to live within the restrictions for more than a couple of days, I'm not expecting this to end in anything except an indefinite block, but I hope to be pleasantly surprised. I feel a little guilty to have been sufficiently inexperienced not to add explicit penalties. I note that the user seems to be aware of our "kangaroo courts" so I figure he must have a fairly good idea of our processes; I don't think a block will have come as a complete surprise. If there is anything you want me to do, including leaving the user a note explaining that these blocks escalate, I'd be happy to do that. ]:] 12:42, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

::"''I feel a little guilty to have been sufficiently inexperienced''" - we are all inexperienced until we have gained experience, which comes with mistakes. I too have made mistakes on this because of lack of experience. No guilt required. ] (]) 13:25, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

Hi Accounting4Taste. I've the latest edit you made to reflect more usage of the terms that were agreed upon at the community discussion. I think the edit is self-evidenct, but if you have any questions/concerns about why this needs to use those terms rather than more terms that weren't in the original discussion, please don't hesitate to let me know - I'll be more than happy to discuss this in more depth. Regards, ] (]) 14:04, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
:Questions or concerns? Hell, no. I'm grateful that you took the time to bring it into line. I think from your edit I have grasped the basic principle of the wording having to match, which I hadn't realized but which makes perfect sense from the point of view of the individual whose privileges are being restricted. Thanks to you and everyone concerned for guiding me through this. ]:] 15:15, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

::I think that is now perfect. We now have something that cannot be challenged except by a review being asked for, or by any of the other arcane WP processes which no-one understands. ==Ken Buck==
Hi, I noticed you protected the page of Colorado's Republican US Senate nominee because it was non-notable and failed the AfD test. However, I think he is notable now that he has won the nomination and the losing candidate, Jane Norton, has an article herself. So, please unprotect the page and allow us to start editing. I will also bring this up on the protected page noticeboard in case you are not logged in and it can be unblocked faster. Thanks. ] (]) 15:41, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

You deleted a page I had marked with hangon. I expected a conversation about the proposed deletion but you didn't seem to think that applied to you. Please restore the page. —Preceding ] comment added by ] (] • ]) 17:05, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
:Possibly you missed reading the hangon tag itself, which I quote from here for your convenience. "Note that this request is not binding, and the page may still be deleted if the page unquestionably meets the speedy deletion criteria, or if the given explanation is unacceptable." The page unquestionably met at least two different speedy deletion criteria AND the given explanation didn't address any of the basic problems for which the article was tagged for deletion. You didn't seem to think that the absolute basic requirements for a demonstration of ] or provision of ] applied to you. I'll decline to restore the page. Feel free to do that yourself, and try not to expect a conversation with the next administrator who deletes it for the same reasons. Have a nice day.

I understand that the hangon request isn't binding, but don't you think you should give someone some time to understand what the issues are and how to address them? Deleting items summarily doesn't help people understand how to participate in this community. Congratulations! Your belief that you're entitled to the personal attention of anyone here to the extent that you yourself determine, to take you by the hand and lead you through material that you ignore unless it suits you, in order for you to contribute spam about some company that's probably paying you for the privilege of your useless attentions, is the straw that broke my back. (Considering that your first efforts here were some months before mine, you must be incredibly stupid not to have read any of the instructions that you've been given over the years OR to have been unable to click on the links you're provided to get the answers you claim you didn't get.) I'm not sure if it's the endless onslaught of crap that never stops falling, the incredible rudeness and ill-will that I constantly encounter here, or the egotistical sense of entitlement that you have so clearly exemplified for me, but whatever it is, I'm giving it up.

No messages left here will be read, let alone responded to. In the last few minutes of my tenure here, I'm scrambling my password. If I ever want to contribute to the kernel of utility that is buried underneath the shovelfuls of crap constantly being added by illiterates, which is highly unlikely, I'll do so under another name. Goodbye and good luck. ]:] 16:26, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Dude, I'm trying here. I'm not a Misplaced Pages master. I'm trying to learn and you're making that difficult.

I disagree that the page met the speedy deletion requirements. I'd like to have a discussion around what you think were the problems. Telling me it "unquestionably met" at least two requirements doesn't tell me WHICH requirements. Would you please do me a favor, lose the combative attitude and try and be helpful?

Also, I don't know how to undelete a page. There doesn't appear to be any button to do that. And I assume that even if I do, you or another administrator will delete the page until you walk me through what the issues are.

I understand that the hangon request isn't binding, but don't you think you should give someone some time to understand what the issues are and how to address them? Deleting items summarily doesn't help people understand how to participate in this community.
