Walter Simmons is a fictional character on the hit CBS drama show CSI: Miami. He is portrayed by actor Omar Benson Miller.
Background
He is a CSI from the night shift who joins Horatio Caine's day-shift team in the eighth season (episode "Bolt Action"). He is an art-theft specialist. He was promoted to Main Cast during the 8th season.
Simmons, becomes friends with Cardoza first as he helps name a certain sample, that Cardoza was having trouble with. It was always hinted that Walter and Jesse, had a very friendly relationship, on and off duty.
In the episode All Fall Down, the crime lab is poisoned and he stops breathing. His status is unknown until the Season 9 premiere.
