Please stop adding links to to physics pages. It is a poorly-written popular-press article about the Higgs boson, with a completely misleading title (it doesn't "make sense of the Big Bang theory"; it isn't even _about_ the Big Bang), and which doesn't give the reader any useful information even about the Higgs (it can be summed up as, "physicists are still trying to make the Higgs Boson, which gave particles their mass"). Better popular-press introductions to the Higgs are already linked from the articles that need them. --] (]) 19:40, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

Carl RIchard Hagen

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Carl RIchard Hagen, by Koavf (talk · contribs), another Misplaced Pages user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Carl RIchard Hagen fits the criteria for speedy deletion for the following reason:

Improbable redirect spelling

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Carl RIchard Hagen, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it did not nominate Carl RIchard Hagen itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 23:21, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Higgs mechanism

Why did you delete mention of the Higgs-Kibble mechanism from Higgs mechanism? --Michael C. Price 21:33, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Good updates. Thanks. --Michael C. Price 09:19, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Ms Hagen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Misplaced Pages guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Paul Erik 23:47, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Ramayya Krishnan

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Ramayya Krishnan, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.heinz.cmu.edu/bio/faculty/rk2x.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 02:31, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

File copyright problem with File:Guralnik.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Guralnik.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Misplaced Pages takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Peripitus (Talk) 05:44, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

Can you show me a good example page with appropriate copyright tag for photo?Moose-32 (talk) 14:26, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

Image copyright

While you state that File:CRHagen small.jpg is "free for public use as appropriate" you have not added a copyright tag. Please choose one from here; perhaps {{PD-self}} is the most appropriate. Cheers ww2censor (talk) 17:09, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Thanks that is what I need but where do I place it on file? Can you send me a link to a page that shows where to put it? Not a help page but an example - real page. Thank you. Moose-32 (talk) 01:36, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:2010 Sakurai Prize Winners.JPG

A tag has been placed on File:2010 Sakurai Prize Winners.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Misplaced Pages (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

That is fine to delete "2010 Sakurai Prize Winners.JPG" as it has been replaced with an updated version of better quality Moose-32 (talk) 13:03, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. ww2censor (talk) 04:14, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
