Copyright issues on Aegis
I know copyright issues are complicated, so feel free to ask questions as you get the hang of it. The press release is indeed copyrighted. In fact, pretty much everything is copyrighted unless the author explicitly says otherwise. You're right that Aegis intended it to be redistributed. However, that isn't enough for Misplaced Pages. We need it under a license that is compatible with ours, the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License 3.0. To get an idea why, you should realize that Aegis probably didn't want people modifying their press release. However, we have to be able to modify all the text on Misplaced Pages.
Separately, Misplaced Pages articles are supposed to follow a neutral point of view. So a press release (even with an appropriate license) probably wouldn't be a good start, because they're usually biased towards the company. I hope this clears things up.
