He's also been overlooked by his employer for racial-coding on his radio program which is not surprising due to ESPN's bias towards white media pundits; the parent company is Disney which doesn't have the greatest track record with African Americans. He often mentions how player's (black) lose capital after retiring from sports as if they're the only people to make bad investments and his most recent comments centered around his intolerance of (running quarterbacks). I remember about a year or two ago when the issue of black coaches in college football came up and he came to the conclusion that it basically (WASN'T TIME) for African American coaches in college football, I wonder what he thinks about the Rooney Rule in the NFL?..but I think I have a good idea! On a final note he often rants along with other pundits on the network about player's conduct but when he needs a fill-in on his radio show it's non other then Doug Gottlieb who was expelled from Notre Dame for stolen credit cards and convicted of misdemeanor fraud, funny how a bunch of black guys can change your moral compass. | |||

In 2003, Cowherd was selected to replace Tony Kornheiser for the late morning time slot (10 a.m. - 1 p.m. (ET)) on ESPN Radio.
His show, The Herd with Colin Cowherd is a syndicated talk radio show broadcast on ESPN Radio affiliates throughout the United States and online at ESPNRadio.com. The majority of his conversations primarily center around the National Football League (NFL) and college football with mentions of recent topics from Major League Baseball (MLB) and the National Basketball Association (NBA). He also has a featured segment, Spanning the Globe, during Sunday morning's SportsCenter special edition.
