Oops

Ya, Its true. It is between Ernakulam and New Delhi making it the longest continuous electric run on IR (2842km). I'm sorry and thanks for informing me. Happy editing. BINOY 08:00, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

UA and city population

Hi Bijuts,
Thiruvananthapuram is the 2nd largest UA in Kerala. It is said in the UA article of Thiruvananthapuram itself. Please note that this is the city article. So there is no need for the statement. Thank you and Happy editing....!!! ;) BINOY 13:11, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

Trivandrum Central

Your edit on Trivandrum Central was reverted:. You have mentioned in your edit summary, "Its a news letter only. Officially Shoranur junction is the largest railway station in kerla" . I am afraid, this is not a valid point. You cannot remove cited sources without providing a better or accurate reason. Cheers, -- Rajith Mohan 08:20, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

This is your last warning; the next time you vandalize Misplaced Pages, as you did at Kochi, you will be blocked from editing without further notice. The commercial capital of the state is a cited information and it's described in Line 295 See this and you are continuously removing 2009 rankings of ease to start and operate a business which is a cited content. Also you violated The three-revert rule. Thank you. BINOY 15:36, 29 October 2010 (UTC)

Trivandrum International Airport

Bijuts, Adding It is the second busiest airport in Kerala in terms of domestic and international traffic after Cochin International Airport is not needed in the Trivandrum city page. It is not of much relevance there, since we have a seperate article for the airport. So, it can be added in the Trivandrum International Airport page. Hope you will cease edit warring on that. Please reconsider your edits and self-revert your edits there, if possible. Also, please feel free to discuss about the changes, in the talk pages. Cheers, -- Rajith Mohan 08:49, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

Warning for edits in Main Central Road

Mr.Bijuts, I saw many messages related to the edit-wars in different pages. So, I hope I need not enlighten you about the consequences for edit-warring. Please discuss in the article talk page, if you have any concerns, do not revert the article. For your recent edits in Main Central page, please be aware that Angamaly is a place in Ernakulam district, and not in Kochi city. It is in the suburbs of Kochi city. Hence you cannot change the article to remove Ernakulam to replace with Kochi. Please reply in the article talk page (not in my talk page). If you continue with edit warring, you may be blocked without further notice. Thanks, --Chektomate (talk) 15:47, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Mr.Bijuts, Please stop reverting constantly , as you are doing in Main Central Road. You are already being warned for danger of violating the three-revert rule several times. The revision you want is not going to be implemented by edit warring. If you revert again, you will be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages without further notice. Please discuss any disputed changes on the talk page. Thank you.--Induzcreed (talk) 16:03, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Air India Express, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Misplaced Pages:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Abhishek191288 (talk) 14:08, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

U have to update yourself. Have a look at this. Now even after this if you make those changes, I will report to the admins for a block. —Abhishek191288 (talk) 14:10, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
All the sources talk about the future. They say IX has decided to shift its HQ. Here read this. Until and unless the HQ really shifts, do not change it (till it becomes a reality). —Abhishek191288 (talk) 14:31, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
Someone who understands simple English will be able to tell that it is not a reality as yet. The Chairman must have signed to shift, but sentences in all the articles say that The HQ WOULD BE shifted. Would be obviously talks about the future. —Abhishek191288 (talk) 14:39, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

COK

First of all go and find some other source for the claim, cite the same and it'll remain and won't be reverted. Any airport website can claim something about the airport and for such claims, the airport website cannot be accepted as a source. Even the Hyderabad airport website claims that it was the first public-private ventured airport in the country when even you do know that it was Kochi, and it also claims that the airport is the best in the world when there are several better airports across the world. So for your claim of Kochi being the fourth busiest, the airport as a source is not acceptable. Find some other source and feel free to add it. And a quick glance at your contribs indicates that you haven't gone beyond the boundaries of Kerala. Abhishek191288 (talk) 10:45, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

FYI, I did not by a click do it to BIAL. I posted the same on the talk and with the opinion of other editors, I changed the same. Now there is a discussion going on about whether it has to remain or no!! :P Why so serious? 05:29, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
BTW does CIAL conduct survey on other airport traffic that it proclaims itself on being the fourth busiest in terms of International traffic? As I told you some other source is required for the same and not CIAL website. In the case of Bangalore airport, it was only the annual traffic report and I did not add any claims of Bangalore airport by BIAL alone and no other site posting it, which you do. :P Why so serious? 05:40, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
What reference have you given there? A 2007 survey!! Please find the latest, and why are you removing the seventh busiest fact? Why so serious? 10:39, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
I guess a bold will make it visible for you here: The reference given dates back to 2007!!! And moreover with your edits, you are messing it up! Why so serious? 10:48, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
What are you talking? And moreover you are the one who wants to reinstate that, so you do the honours of finding the latest reference. BTW about BIA being fourth busiest overall, it is from traffic figures and not mere claims by the airport! :P Why so serious? 10:59, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

First let me make some things clear. You are a fellow wikipedian and I respect you! Please find the latest trafiic stats and include the same. I'll be only too happy to leave it there. I'm not reverting it out of jealousy/madness. Earlier the CIAL website was given as a source to prove that COK was the 4th busiest in international traffic. My dear friend, I would like to as you, does CIAL conduct survey on other airports? You then removed it and now you cite a source dated back to 2007? Please please find the latest, I'll really be happy for it to remain there. Sometimes I do get aggresive. So if I've hurt you, I'm very sorry. Why so serious? 11:13, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

Right. But that is a 2007 survey my friend. Airports have grown enormously since then. Which is why I am asking you to try and get the latest survey by AAI. Include that and I'll will just not revert it. The article is equally yours friend! Why so serious? 11:31, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
Did I tell that AAI website is not a reliable source? I said that the reference you gave dates back to 2007, please inlcude a survey of 2010 there in your statement. Otherwise, I would either revert it or put a tag. Get the latest refernce my friend similar to the one you have given now! You can't consider a fact dating back to 2007 to still to be the same. Why so serious? 11:37, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
We cannot consider the 2007 survey. AAI updates traffic stats every year. When there are new sources we should make use of them. You please find the latest by AAI. I am right now updating the destinations of some airports of India, else I would have done it myself. Why so serious? 11:49, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
FYI I did not vandalise. He removed some info for which I reverted the same. NOw if you don't mind please include that reference in the sentence. Thanks, Why so serious? 11:53, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
I have re-added the source here my friend. Why so serious? 11:59, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

No other major aiport has city names listed in the busiest sentence!! Then why did you make these changes? Why so serious? 14:27, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

Since we have official absolute numbers for only one month (November 2010), i believe we should generally avoid these rankings,as a single month data isn't dependable. It is best we avoid the "busiest airport" rankings for now and wait for more data. (My mails to aai with request for more data are bouncing, so if you folks could mail them, we can clear this up)--Sodabottle (talk) 14:42, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

I stand corrected, i didnt see the third and fourth columns (duh). Eight months is pretty reliable, but it is not still the whole year. Correnct me if am wrong, but aren't seasonal variations in airline traffic annual?. Can we extrapolate for 12 months from 8 month traffic data?. But anyway 8 month data is way better than 2007 data. I think we can use it to rank the airports but should make it clear it is for the period of Apr-Nov 2008--Sodabottle (talk) 14:51, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
There is an ongoing discussion Mr. because of which the busiest rankings on both Chennai airport and Bangalore airport have been commented out which is why I restored it to the same. I edit several airport articles across the country. And I'm unlike you, DileepKS and Arunvarmaother who are so obssessed with Kerala related articles and keep promoting them. So please mind your tone. And moreover I have rollback rights. When I click on rollback, it reverts without any summary. Why so serious? 14:59, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

Relax guys. It is just a clash of our perspectives. While Abishek is trying to maintain uniformity throughout the indian airport pages and make sure the claims made in them dont contradict, us others are more concentrated in maintaining our regional articles. I am sure we can thrash stuff out. I am moving part of conversation from my talk page here to ensure continuity.--Sodabottle (talk) 15:11, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

Hi, I just read your message on Bijuts' talk page. You said: It's we avoid the "busiest airport" rankings for now and wait for more data. I just wanted to know if this is applicable to only BLR and MAA or these airports as well: COK, CCU, HYD? Thanks, Why so serious? 14:50, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

I just changed my mind after Biju pointed out we have 8 month data (i didnt see it). I believe now we can reinstate the "busiest airport" sentences but with a clarification like. For the period of Apr-Nov 2010, XXXX airport is Yth busiest or something.--Sodabottle (talk) 14:55, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
Ok. But how exactly should it be mentioned? Is busiest ranking in overall traffic enough or do we have to include the busiest ranking in terms of international traffic too separately? Why so serious? 15:01, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
Both preferably. I am drafting a sample sentence below:

For the period of Apr-Nov 2010, It was the xth busiest airport in terms of overall passenger traffic and yth busiest in terms of international passenger traffic

--Sodabottle (talk) 15:11, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

about Intl and domestic seperation, CIAL is the only exceptional.
CIAL will always be an exception for you, DileepKS69 and Arunvarmaother coz u have to promote it right? Why so serious? 15:39, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

Jan Shatabdi

Do not add "Junction" to the station names. It is understood. Until and unless the station is a different one, (Ernakulam town for eg), do not reinstate the same. Why so serious? 16:13, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

FYI I haven't touched the trivia section except for adding the image there. And coming to adding Jn is a name given to a station where two or more routes branch out from. Ernakulam station is ernakulam junction, if it is the other one then we have to write the entire name (Ernakulam town). The same exists for Bangalore. Why aren't you changing for Bangalore then? The Jan Shatabdi starts from Bangalore city junction station, it is also called only Bangalore station. It is the same for other stations as well. Why so serious? 16:30, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
Instead of arguing further, let's look into the Indian railways website anout these stations. We'll change the name according to whatever is mentioned there. But don't revert the edit. Let's make a list of all the station names that need to be changed as per the website an make the necessary changes. You know I was very angry by the message you posted on Sodabottle's page about favourite article and getting emotional (I hope you won't do that again) for which I almost blindly reverted your changes to Jan Shatabdi and didn't even respond to you when you asked me about Kolkata airport. Anyways, I want to forget the past and as fellow wikipedians, let's not edit war again, but instead let's talk it out and make necessary changes (sometimes you revert even before I post a message with some explanation). I'm sorry if I have hurt you. And lastly please don't make request like you did on my talk like this: take it as a request. I'm not the person to solely decide on article content. As I told previously, from now on let's sort out any differences (go for a 3PO if necessary) and make necessary changes. Thanks, have a nice day. Why so serious? 19:11, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
With regards to your query about Kolkata airport, it is ranked 7th busiest merely because it has lesser international flights. It has got nothing to do with being the 3rd largest metro. Take for example Kochi airport, though it ranks 7th overall, it ranks 4th in terms of international flights. This is because, Kochi has lots of connectivity to the gulf, which even Kolkata, Bangalore and Hyderabad do not have. Moreover there are not 1 flight per day by an airline but more on some sectors from Kochi. Earlier Kolkata used to be the 3rd busiest overal and internationally. Bangalore which wasn't even an International airport until 1998, has managed to outbeat Kolkata. Several airlines have stopped flying to Kolkata which earlier used to be very well connected to seceral international destinations. I hope you could understand. Please feel free to ask me any more queries. TC Why so serious? 19:21, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
Yeah sure. But I believe we'll rename the stations to whatever is mentioned in the railways website. I hope that should be fine! Why so serious? 16:50, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

Hey thanks for changing the station names. But I have to remove your addition about Kerala having 2 Jan Shatabdis on the same route as it is not the only one to have that. Why so serious? 13:56, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

Looking at your contribs, I notice you do not provide an edit summary for your edits unless you are reverting somebody's edits. It is very important to provide an edit summary per WP:ES. Please follow this from your next edit onwards. Why so serious? 14:06, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

Discussion on WikiProject Trains

Hello Bijuts,
Over at WikiProject Trains there is a discussion about some rail services in India; since you have created some articles on this subject, your input would be very welcome. bobrayner (talk) 10:48, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Nomination of Chennai – Trivandrum Superfast Express for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Chennai – Trivandrum Superfast Express is suitable for inclusion in Misplaced Pages according to Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Chennai – Trivandrum Superfast Express until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Jenks24 (talk) 07:29, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

AfD discussion

Hi there, I saw your comment at the above-mentioned AfD discussion where, at one point, you asked something along the lines of "what makes this non-notable to Misplaced Pages?" Well, to prove that this train service is notable, you should try and show in the AfD that it meets the general notability guideline. Basically if you show that the train service has received significant coverage in multiple, independent, reliable sources, then it is highly likely that the closing administrator will keep the article. Cheers, Jenks24 (talk) 11:06, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

Ok, to find out what Misplaced Pages finds notable and non-notable, please read Misplaced Pages:Notability. However, that is a pretty long guideline and to summarise, it essentially boils down to "If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to satisfy the inclusion criteria for a stand-alone article". So, again, if you want to prove that this train service is notable in Misplaced Pages's terms, please find some sources (eg newspaper articles, books, reliable websites) that provide in-depth coverage of the train service. I hope that answered your question, but if you are still unsure about anything, feel free to ask me. Cheers, Jenks24 (talk) 12:24, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
That's good. I was just about to tell you to add them to the AfD, but you already had. If you find more sources like this I encourage you to add them to the AfD page (and also to the article if possible, though that is not required). The only concern may be whether the coverage is significant enough to count as "significant coverage". Personally I'm not sure at the moment and I'm willing to wait for others (especially bobrayner who has much more experiance with train articles than myself) to comment on the discussion. Thanks for the effort you have put in, Jenks24 (talk) 12:53, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

Please dont act as a MEAT PUPPET for KOCHI topics

Dear Biju, you are contributing well to wikipedia, in the railway related topics. But, please donot act as a MEAT PUPPET for User:DileepKS69 and co. Just by doing so will do no good in your wiki life, but instead you may invite more bans. Hence I request you to concentrate on your favourite topics and do not be a WP:MEAT for those users from Kochinow/skyscrapercity forums. --Samaleks (talk) 16:06, 31 March 2011 (UTC) verum oru Konjanan !!!! --Samaleks (talk) 16:46, 1 April 2011 (UTC)
