'''ArmchairGM''' was a sports-forum and ] site created by Dan Lewis, Aaron Wright, Robert Lefkowitz and David Pean. It was introduced to the public early in 2006. While the site was initially US-based, it sought to improve its links to sports associated with Britain in particular over its first year. From September 2010 to February 2011, ] began absorbing the site's encyclopedia articles and blanking all of its old blog entries, effectively discontinuing ArmchairGM in its original form.

The site's main developer on the technological side was David Pean. While the site was based on the ] software used on ], other features were developed, including an article-voting mechanism similar to ], blog-style comment forms with "thumbs up"/"thumbs down" user feedback, and the ability to write multiple types of posts (news, opinions, or "locker room" entries for general discussion).

On March 20, 2008, SI.com added a new section to their website called the SI Vault Wiki, which is the ArmchairGM encyclopedia, worthy enough and rich with information of being the Sports Wiki for SI.com.
