To Momento, Prem Rawat said in the early 1970's that he was the tree and all the other gurus were weeds. Sounds to me like he was claiming to be the one and almighty God in one analogy or another. It's not a matter if he said he was the Lord. It was a matter of thousands of premies believing him. Hell, I sung "Lord of the Universe" on top of my lungs at divine light mission ashrams so many times that I brainwashed myself with hundreds of other devotees. He didn't have to chant "I am God or Lord" on a mantric way. Satsang or the group support strenghten our beliefs in such a fanatic and militant fashion that we hypnotized ourselves. It was definitely a group "chain reaction" and it kept going on for many years. I still think many devotees think he still is God without studying his private life. The ex-premies know better. 1. If PR said- "he was the tree and all the other gurus were weeds", it has no reference to God.
2. PR said very clearly in 1971 that he wasn't God and that God was pure and perfect energy.
3. Since PR said he wasn't God then the phrase or title "Lord of the Universe" must have some other meaning.
4. The fact that you think the "weed analogy" is a claim to be God, that you ignored his clear statements that he wasn't God and that you think "Lord of the Universe" can only mean God, suggest that you were one of the few people who made those claims in the '70's and are now wanting to blame someone for your actions.
