William Elmer Holt (October 14, 1884, Savannah, Missouri – March 1, 1945) was the tenth Governor of Montana from 1935 to 1937.
Holt graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1902. He served in the Montana House of Representatives (1912-32) and the Montana Senate, where he was chosen president pro tempore in 1935. He became governor upon the death of Governor Frank Henry Cooney, and was defeated for reelection in 1936.
