The Paladin Society is a secret society at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. It is one of four secret societies at Emory; the other societies are the D.V.S. Senior Honor Society, Ducemus, and the Order of Ammon. Established in 1998, the Paladin Society seeks to promote spirit, foster community, and uphold tradition at Emory University through dedication to a humble service.
Each year, the Paladin Society admits an undisclosed number of members, but is believed to house a total of twelve current, Emory students. The Paladin Society does not recruit its members in the most typical sense; members are watched, then offered membership based on several criteria, with dedication to furthering spirit at the University being a critical component.
While most of the society's activities are hidden from or unknown to the public, the Knights of Emory Spirit awards are given, by the Paladin Society, to two outstanding seniors each semester. Students selected for this honor have made great contributions to the University and promote Emory spirit with passion and selflessness.
