Myzeqe (or in its defined form Myzeqeja) is part of the western low plains of Albania.

The name Myzeqe derives from the noble Albanian family of the 15th century who owned most of the land until the conquest of the Ottoman empire. Gjon Muzaka was the foremost known noble family member, who emigrated to Italy after long years of war with the Turks.
