Didymelaceae is the botanical name for a family of flowering plants. Such a family has been recognised by a fair number of taxonomists, at least over the past few decades.

The APG II system, of 2003, does not recognize such a family, at least not as such. The plants involved are included in the family Buxaceae. However, APG II does allow the option of segregating this family, as an optional segregate: it is then unplaced as to order and left among the basal lineages of the eudicots.

This represents a slight change from the APG system, of 1998, which firmly did recognize this family, with the same placement.

The family consists of a single genus only, Didymeles, with probably two species of evergreen trees, restricted to Madagascar and the Comoro Islands.
