Popular culture
Please do not keep changing 'Popular Culture' headings to 'Trivia'. They are not the same thing. Some Popular Culture content is substantive, not trivial, as supported by references. Misplaced Pages is a collaborative community. Continuous edit warring may result in being blocked. Span (talk) 12:48, 3 April 2013 (UTC)
- In fact, usually they are the same thing. "In Popular Culture" is used as a synonym for "Trivia" by people who feel the name "Trivia" is too down-scale for Misplaced Pages, while they are still perfectly happy to include content that any reasonable person would classify as... Trivia! Also, please note that the Misplaced Pages "Manual of Style" does not require the removal (or the use of silly synonyms) of Trivia sections, indeed the word "discouraged" is not used in the section at all.
- And, the simple fact of the matter is, applying well discussed and well defined "rules" as to what is "trivia" and how "trivia" is to be marked, does not require a lengthy, drawn-out, "consensus" discussion, the consensus of what is "trivia" and how it is to be marked, is well established in a number of Misplaced Pages policy discussions. The demand for "consensus discussion" about what is "trivia" for every single article comes straight from the tool box of Misplaced Pages "editors" with WP:OWN issues. =//= Johnny Squeaky 02:39, 13 May 2013 (UTC)
IMDB as a Source
It's ironic that Misplaced Pages says that IMDB is unreliable as a source because its content is user submitted... =//= Johnny Squeaky 06:48, 22 May 2013 (UTC)
