Reversion

Why did you revert my edit? The old wording was very far from neutral 128.32.198.212 (talk) 02:02, 4 July 2013 (UTC)

The phrase "partition of Palestine" is "far from neutral"? — Malik Shabazz /Stalk 02:06, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
Yes, considering that partition doesn't describe what happened, and legitimates what was seen by everyone execpt the UK and Jordan as an illegal move at the time. (and that the mandate had ended by then, so there wasn't anything called Palestine at that time) 128.32.198.212 (talk) 19:36, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
Oh, but "Arab occupation of parts of Israel" is neutral? — Malik Shabazz /Stalk 20:41, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
Isn't that exactly what happened? 128.32.198.212 (talk) 21:08, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
No. How were "parts of Israel" occupied if Israel had never controlled the land? — Malik Shabazz /Stalk 21:29, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
Two ways: It's still Israel in the geographic sense, and by nature of the State being the successor to the ended mandate (and it's exactly the terminology that the people in question would use)128.32.198.212 (talk) 22:57, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

Paula Barbiari

Can you delete the page Paula Barbiari? I notice that it violates wikipedia's notability guideline. From the dectective-The Maigne Event (talk) 15:20, 5 July 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Are you referring to Paula Barbieri?
There are three ways to delete an article. First, if it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion. As an alternative, an editor may propose the article for deletion or nominate it for a deletion discussion.
I don't think Paula Barbieri would qualify for speedy deletion under criterion A7 (no assertion of importance or significance) because the article has reliable sources. If you think Barbieri fails our notability criteria, try WP:PROD or WP:AfD instead. — Malik Shabazz /Stalk 20:39, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
If that's who is meant, she gained enough notoriety (word meant neutrally) around the O.J. Simpson case that I don't think the article would pass WP:PROD, either. I suggest going straight to WP:AfD. StevenJ81 (talk) 22:32, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
I suspect you're right. — Malik Shabazz /Stalk 22:50, 5 July 2013 (UTC)

Malik, can you at lest nominate the page for deletion? From the dectective-The Maigne Event (talk) 22:31, 6 July 2013 (UTC)

You haven't confirmed that Paula Barbieri is the page you're referring to. In any event, if you feel she's not notable, feel free to start an WP:AfD discussion yourself. — Malik Shabazz /Stalk 22:44, 6 July 2013 (UTC)

Can you create the link to this page to Paula Barbieri's talk page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by The Maigne Event (talkcontribs) 22:50, 6 July 2013 (UTC)

Try Talk:Paula Barbieri — Malik Shabazz /Stalk 23:02, 6 July 2013 (UTC)

I am interested in this case because I am Mark Fuhrman. From here-The Maigne Event (talk) 17:46, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

Whatever. — Malik Shabazz /Stalk 01:40, 10 July 2013 (UTC)

Unwarranted

Thank you ever so much for the speedy deletion of List of Disneyland railroads. You did not even have the patience to wait for opinions and input from other Wikipedians. A list is for the purpose of X referencing articles covering related topics, not to inform per se. Now the article needs to be replace by a {{navbox}}. Peter Horn User talk 18:55, 7 July 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion bypasses a deletion discussion in certain limited circumstances, including articles consisting only of "See also" sections. See WP:A3.
If you'd like me to restore the "list" so you can add an introduction to it, please let me know. — Malik Shabazz /Stalk 20:40, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
Just put the List of Disneyland railroads on my talk page so that when I can find the time to do so I can create a {{navbox}} which will tie all the Disneyland railroads together just as it is done for other related articles (Classes of locomotives etc.). "Merci buckets". Peter Horn User talk 15:58, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

JTTechnoSoft

Hi Malik,

Thanks a lot for your attention on this. Yesterday I created an article named 'JTTechnosoft' but it has been edited and deleted by you assuming it was a promotional which in fact is not. It is about a company called JT Technosoft Inc., which is a Canada based business solutions company. The article was not any promotional nor with any marketing objectives on wikipedia. Please reconsider your decision of deleting the article and reinstate it to be on wikipedia. For any further questions/concerns please let me know.

Thanks a lot, Sudhakar — Preceding unsigned comment added by Atmas2012 (talkcontribs) 02:13, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

Hi Sudhakar. It may not have been your intention, but the article you wrote was promotional in tone.
To write an encyclopedia article for Misplaced Pages, please summarize in your own words what reliable sources have written about a subject. Please read WP:Identifying reliable sources to see what types of sources are considered reliable. Press releases and company websites don't qualify.
Thank you. — Malik Shabazz /Stalk 02:45, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

Deleted article on the Foto Colectania Foundation, Spain

Dear Malik Shabazz

A few days ago we wrote an article about our non-profit foundation in Barcelona, named "Foto Colectania". However, our article has been deleted for been "unambiguous advertising or promotional": http://en.wikipedia.org/Foto_Colectania

We really do not understand why. We already read the page of[REDACTED] about advertising articles.

We are a non-profit institution and we wanted our goals and activities to be announced in Misplaced Pages. Other museums and foundations of the city of Barcelona have done exactly the same: http://en.wikipedia.org/Barcelona_Museum_of_Contemporary_Art http://en.wikipedia.org/Fundaci%C3%B3_Antoni_T%C3%A0pies

What should we do to avoid our article to appear as advertising? Could you userfy it?

thank you very much in advance.

01:12, 6 July 2013 Malik Shabazz (talk | contribs) deleted page Sticky Studios (G3: Vandalism - blatant hoax or misinformation (CSDH))

Malik,

Please can you clarify why you nominated the page Sticky_Studios for speedy deletion under G3: Vandalism? The page was freshly created and as far as I'm aware contained no blatant hoaxes nor was vandalised. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adamcoltman (talkcontribs) 18:22, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

I didn't nominate the page for deletion. I deleted it.
It appeared to be a hoax because the article wasn't about "Sticky Studios" and none of the sources mentioned "Sticky Studios". — Malik Shabazz /Stalk 03:00, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

Why did you delete my article.

I am asking you why did you delete my article from my personal sandbox... I was in no way going to publish it... it was just for a project/free-time thing I did for my nation states country called Emenia. I know it's all fake, but isn't that what a user (personal) sandbox is used for...to fill (if you want) it with useless info? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jbstewart985 (talkcontribs) 19:28, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

The intent is to write an encyclopedia. You can install the Wikimedia software on your PC and edit personal projects unrelated to WP to your heart's content. That's what I did. VєсrumЬаTALK 19:37, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

but..the thing is... I need it to have a link so other people can access it. Plus all the templates that Misplaced Pages provides... are quite frankly a lifesaver. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jbstewart985 (talkcontribs) 19:51, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

I understand, but Misplaced Pages is not a web hosting service. — Malik Shabazz /Stalk 01:44, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
@Jbstewart985, you can (again) install on your PC, configure VPN, send out dynamic DNS, and run "Misplaced Pages" hosting from your PC at home. As Malik indicates, Misplaced Pages is not a free resource to munge off for your personal projects. There are also many cheap web hosting services that come with Wordpress, Joomla, and other content management tools. VєсrumЬаTALK 01:52, 10 July 2013 (UTC)

Is there a way I can do that... and have all the templates (mainly infobox country....) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jbstewart985 (talkcontribs) 13:55, 10 July 2013 (UTC)

Hi, you recently deleted an article per CSD G5. I'm not aware of the user & now cannot see the history but obviously there is a chance that they may return. I'd appreciate a link to the user account if possible. Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 00:35, 14 July 2013 (UTC)

question

Is there some reason 2009 flu pandemic doesn't have a 'move' button? I looked at the talk page but didn't see any history of ArbCom or other mediation. Malke 2010 (talk) 04:16, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
